Thal University Bhakkar Holds Second Meeting of Community Council
Thal University Bhakkar held the second meeting of its Community Council, which was the first after its approval by the Syndicate. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad and attended by members from various sectors including business, education, health, law, and public service.
The Vice Chancellor shared the university’s vision and progress, followed by a focused discussion on the role of the Community Council as an active partner in institutional development. Members were encouraged to contribute in areas of advocacy, mentorship, industry linkages, and promotion of the university.
The Council also discussed support for upcoming initiatives, including the proposed Centre for Professional AI & Digital Transformation. Members appreciated the progress of the university and expressed their commitment to contribute towards its growth and regional development.

تھل یونیورسٹی بھکر میں سوسائٹیز کے عہدیداران کے ساتھ اہم اجلاس منعقد
بھکر: تھل یونیورسٹی بھکر میں سٹوڈنٹس سوسائٹیز کے عہدیداران کے ساتھ ایک اہم اور بامقصد اجلاس وائس چانسلر، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار کی زیرِ صدارت منعقد ہوا۔ یہ اجلاس ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے زیرِ اہتمام منعقد کیا گیا، جس کا مقصد سوسائٹیز کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لینا اور ان کی مزید بہتری کے لیے رہنمائی فراہم کرنا تھا۔
اجلاس کے آغاز میں ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز، ڈاکٹر خضر حیات چھینہ نے معزز وائس چانسلر کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے سوسائٹیز کے عہدیداران کو خلوصِ نیت، دیانتداری اور ذمہ داری کے ساتھ اپنے فرائض انجام دینے کی تلقین کی۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ سوسائٹیز طلبہ کی ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینے میں کلیدی کردار ادا کرتی ہیں، لہٰذا ان کی فعالیت اور مؤثر نظم و نسق نہایت ضروری ہے۔
اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار نے عہدیداران کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے انہیں اپنی اپنی ذمہ داریوں کو پیشہ ورانہ مہارت اور سنجیدگی کے ساتھ ادا کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سوسائٹیز طلبہ کی شخصیت سازی، قائدانہ صلاحیتوں کے فروغ اور مثبت سرگرمیوں کے انعقاد میں بنیادی حیثیت رکھتی ہیں۔ مزید برآں، انہوں نے سوسائٹیز کے نظام کو مزید فعال، منظم اور نتیجہ خیز بنانے کے لیے متعدد اہم ہدایات بھی جاری کیں۔
اجلاس میں سوسائٹیز کی کارکردگی، درپیش مسائل اور مستقبل کے لائحہ عمل پر بھی تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ عہدیداران نے اپنی آراء اور تجاویز پیش کیں، جنہیں وائس چانسلر نے سراہتے ہوئے ان پر عملدرآمد کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔
یہ اجلاس نہ صرف سوسائٹیز کی کارکردگی کو مزید بہتر بنانے کی جانب ایک اہم پیش رفت ثابت ہوا بلکہ طلبہ میں ذمہ داری، نظم و ضبط اور مثبت سرگرمیوں کے فروغ کے لیے بھی سنگِ میل کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔

The Thal University Sports Promotion Society organized a ceremony to honor National Bronze Medalist Mr. Muhammad Musa Khan and Mr. Hafeez Ullah, who qualified the Level-II National Kabaddi Officiating Course, both from the Department of Sports Sciences.
The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar, graced the occasion and awarded a medal along with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 to Mr. Musa Khan, while Mr. Hafeez Ullah received a certificate of recognition.
Director Sports, Mr. Muhammad Ijaz, appreciated their achievements, terming it a historic milestone for Thal University Bhakkar.

Alhamdulillah! A proud moment for Thal University Bhakkar.
A further 211 students have earned selection on merit for the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Scholarship. With this, the number of scholarship recipients in Phase III has reached 329, while 1100 students in total are benefiting from this prestigious initiative.
This accomplishment goes beyond numbers—it represents the determination of our students, the prayers of their families, and the unwavering support and mentorship of our faculty. We warmly congratulate all successful students and wish them continued excellence in their academic and professional journeys.

Level II Kabaddi Coaching Course for Technical Officials
Faisalabad: The National Kabaddi Championship 2026, along with the Level II Kabaddi Coaching Course for Technical Officials, was successfully held from 14–17 April 2026 at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The event was organized by the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation.
Representing the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Muhammad Ijaz and Mr. Hafeez Ullah successfully qualified the course, demonstrating strong technical competence and officiating proficiency.
On the occasion, Muhammad Ijaz (Director Sports, Thal University Bhakkar) presented a shield to Rana Sarwar, Secretary General of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF), acknowledging his significant contributions to the promotion and global development of Kabaddi.
Discussions were also held on promoting and developing Kabaddi at Thal University Bhakkar, focusing on structured training, talent development and strengthening participation at the national level.
