Bhakkar is a district of southern Punjab (in Pakistan), comprising about 1.5 million people , situated at the left bank of river Indus; while on the right bank , lies Dera Ismail Khan, the second largest division Govt College Bhakkar is a beacon of knowledge in the vast wilderness of that deserts – on of the biggest desert range in Pakistan In 1960, its foundation was laid as Ismaeel college, by

a sincere, dedicated and devoted social worker, Dr: Muhammad Yaqoob. Its first principal was the renowned research scholar and education ,dr. Shujja Muhammad Namoos , who had the honour of having been a brilliant student of Allama Muhammad Iqbal
