📚 Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting Conducted by the Department of Computing and Information Technology, MCUT, DGKHAN
The Department of Computing and Information Technology, Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology (MCUT), Dera Ghazi Khan, successfully conducted its Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting on 22 June 2026.
The meeting was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mehr Gul, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, MCUT, and chaired by Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, In-charge/HOD, Department of Computing & Technology (Convener).
The Board was honored by the participation of distinguished internal faculty members:

Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Professor & Chairman, Department of Information Technology and In-Charge Dean, Faculty of Computing, Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
Dr. Salman Qadri, Professor/Director, Institute of Computing, MNS University of Agriculture, Multan.
Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Siddique, Professor, Department of Computer Science, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT).
Dr. Fariha Zafar, Assistant Professor (Computer Science), In-Charge PhD Program & Research Head, Mobile & Communication Advancements, GC University Lahore.
Dr. Hira Nazir, Assistant Professor & Coordinator of Cyber Security, Faculty of Computing & Emerging Technologies, Emerson University, Multan.
During the meeting, the Board reviewed and approved:
🔹 Scheme of Studies for BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering (Batch 2024–2028).
🔹 Proposed BS Computer Science curriculum with specialization tracks in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Information Technology (Batch 2025–2029), aligned with emerging NCEAC guidelines.
🔹 Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Graduate Attributes (GAs), and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) alignment.
🔹 Academic policies related to degree nomenclature, admission pathways, bridge courses, and future curriculum development.
The Board's recommendations will further strengthen academic quality, support accreditation requirements, and prepare graduates to meet the evolving needs of industry and society.
The Department extends its sincere appreciation to all Board members, external experts, faculty members, and the university administration for their valuable contributions and continued support in advancing quality computing education.
