Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Quiz Competition – Ramadan Activity

In the blessed month of Ramadan, CBS organized a thought-provoking Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Quiz Competition on 5th of March 2026 to promote knowledge about the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ among students.

A total of 14 teams from different departments enthusiastically participated in the competition and demonstrated remarkable knowledge, confidence, and team spirit.
1st Position: Political Science Department (tayyeba and Fatima),......... . 2nd Position: AI department (abu bakr and Alishba) ..... 3rd Position: English Department(ahmed ali and ommama)

The competition created a spirit of learning and healthy academic engagement, reminding us of the timeless guidance and character of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Character building society GPGC haripur organized an informative and impactful Legal Migration Awareness Seminar in collaboration with the Migration Resource Centre Islamabad on 26 February 2026 to guide participants about safe and legal pathways for overseas employment and migration.
The session highlighted: Importance of legal documentation
Risks of irregular/illegal migration
Government-approved recruitment procedures
Protection of migrant rights
Complaint and support mechanisms
The resource person Hashir Khan shared valuable insights on how to avoid fraud, human trafficking, and exploitation, emphasizing that safe migration is smart migration. CBS focal person Prof jamil Hussain shah paid thanks to resource person for sharing such insight knowledge.

Inauguration ceremony of CBS clubs. new beginning as clubs heads officially took charge of their respective clubs in a graceful and inspiring ceremony from the respected principal Prof Zulfiqar Ali, Ex patron in chief Prof. Naeem Akhtar Abbasi and CBS focal person Prof jamil Hussain shah.................. The ceremony was gracefully hosted by our talented and confident students (hooria, Maryam, zukhruf and rubab), who conducted the program with poise and professionalism.
The event beautifully showcased the talent, creativity, and passion of our students through wonderful demonstrations of different clubs:
📖 Bazm-e-Naat & Qirat headed by Prof waqar Ayub.......– The soulful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Mati ur Rehman and heartfelt Naat ( fiza )filled the atmosphere with spirituality and peace.
✍️ Writers’ Forum –headed by Prof Adil Javed......... Young writers( Hadia, Hamid, uzair) presented their creative thoughts, highlighting the power of words and imagination.
📚 Reading Club – headed by Prof Nadeem shah.......Promoting the culture of reading, fatima shared book insights and reflections that inspired intellectual growth.
🎭 Literary Club –headed by Prof javaiz khan..... Through poetry(okasha and Harees Ahmed )and expressive performances, students celebrated the richness of language and literature.
🎨 Arts Club –headed by Prof Naeem Khan .......A vibrant display of artistic work of Areeba and summuiya reflected creativity without limits. Faizan and Daniyal's melodious voices created serene atmosphere.
🗣️ Debating Club – headed by Prof. Muhammad Amir Confident speakers( munhaemand Ahmed Ali) demonstrated critical thinking and powerful argumentation, proving that dialogue shapes leadership.
The ceremony was not just about handing over responsibilities; it was about nurturing leadership, teamwork, and excellence. Kashmir Solidarity Day 5 February 2026 Commemorated at GPGC Haripur

Kashmir Solidarity Day was solemnly and passionately observed at Government Post Graduate College Haripur to reaffirm unwavering support for the just cause of our Kashmiri brethren. The event reflected collective resolve, empathy, and solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir.
In this connection, an intracollegiate debate competition was organized, providing students a vibrant platform to voice their perspectives. The program commenced with Tilawat-e-Qur’an, Naat, and the National Anthem, setting a dignified and patriotic tone. The Focal Person CBS Prof Jamil Hussain warmly welcomed the participants and highlighted the historical significance and moral importance of observing Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Students from various departments actively participated and spoke eloquently for and against the motion, expressing deep concern over the prolonged suffering of Kashmiris, the continued passivity of UN resolutions, and the silence of the international community. Their speeches were marked by passion, clarity, and a strong sense of justice, encouraging the brave people of Kashmir and reaffirming national commitment to their cause.
The worthy Principal, Prof. Zulfiqar Ali, addressed the gathering and emphasized Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir, urging students to remain informed, vocal, and committed to peaceful advocacy. The event was attended by Heads of Departments, faculty members, and a large number of students, making it a truly collective observance.
A short documentary on Kashmir was also screened, leaving a profound emotional impact on the audience and further strengthening students’ sentiments toward the Kashmir cause.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Vice President CBS, Musawar Shah. The Debating Club, headed by Prof. Muhammad Amir, deserves special appreciation for making excellent arrangements and ensuring the success of the program.
The enthusiasm, awareness, and solidarity shown by the students were truly inspiring, reaffirming that the voice for Kashmir remains alive, strong, and resolute.
Kashmir will never be forgotten. Kashmir will never stand alone.

Interactive Session and Discussion on P/CVE at GPGC Haripur

In line with government directives, a P/CVE (Countering Violent Extremism) dialogue was held on 28th Jan, 2026 at GPGC, bringing together students and faculty for an insightful and meaningful discussion on extremism.
The session began with an introductory and welcome talk by Prof. Jamil Hussain, setting the context, objectives, and ground rules of the dialogue. This was followed by a thoughtful and impactful talk by the worthy Principal, Prof. Zulfiqar Ali. Prof. Adil Javed highlighted key concerns by defining extremism, differentiating between extremism and radicalization, violent and non-violent extremism, and emphasizing the importance of awareness, critical thinking, and resilience. Uzair from English department presented a comprehensive statistical analysis of the causes of extremism, particularly in KP , supported by multimedia presentation which added strong emperial insight to the discussion.
An open and interactive dialogue then commenced, in which faculty members Prof. Syed Nadeem Shah, Prof. Muhammad Amir, Prof. Adil Javed, Prof. Naeem Khan, Prof. Javez Khan, Prof. Waqar Ayub, and Prof. Jamil Hussain represented the teaching staff. Students from departments actively participated, openly and candidly sharing their thoughts and experiences.
The dialogue was conducted in four engaging sessions:

Understanding extremism and its types.

Push and pull factors contributing to extremism.

The role of mainstream media and social media.

Building resilience against extremist narratives.

The sessions were highly interactive, meaningful, and engaging, with students expressing their views in a safe and respectful environment. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful step toward awareness, dialogue, and positive change.

CBS GPGC Haripur hosted an insightful session on Leadership Role on 31st December 2025, facilitated by Respected Sibghat Ullah. Anti corruption week 2025...... Inter-College Competitions in JMC Haripur

Painting, essay writing, and declamation competitions were jointly organized by Government Postgraduate College Haripur (GPGC) and Government Girls Degree College Serai Saleh (GGDC) on 6th November 2025 at GGDC Serai Saleh. The event featured enthusiastic participation from both male and female categories.

Prof. Zulfiqar Ali, Principal GPGC Haripur, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Dr. Shazia Gul, Principal GGDC Serai Saleh, attended as Guest of Honour.

Extra ordinary performance by the students of gpgc Haripur. In the English Declamation, Esha Dilaram and Huzafa secured first positions, while Mohazem achieved first position in the Urdu Declamation.

In the Essay Writing Competition, M. Idrees stood first in Urdu Essay Writing, and Ahmed Ali secured first position in English Essay Writing.

In the Painting Competition, Areeba Gul and Summiya obtained first and second positions respectively, while Daniyal also secured first position in the male category.

Dr. Shazia Gul appreciated the participation of 12 colleges out of 14 affiliated with JMC Haripur and applauded the efforts of the organizing team for successfully managing the event.

Principal Prof. Zulfiqar Ali, in his remarks, thanked Principal Dr. Shazia Gul for her cooperation and commendable management of the event.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Jamil Hussain Shah, Focal Person CBS, GPGC Haripur, who expressed gratitude to all participating colleges and organizing members.

Overall, the participants displayed excellent and outstanding performances, reflecting their talent, creativity, and confidence.
