Our BSCS 24th Batch at HiAST is turning Discrete Mathematics into real circuits ⚡
This semester, students applied core concepts from Discrete Mathematics—Boolean algebra, logic gates, truth tables, and finite automata—to design and build working electronics-based projects.
Using *Arduino, IC logic gates, breadboards, and sensors*, they created:
- *Logic Circuit Trainers* that simplify and test Boolean expressions in real time
- *Digital Lock Systems* built on finite state machine models
- *Error Detection Circuits* using Hamming code and parity checks
The goal is simple: make abstract math tangible. When students see their code and logic gates light up LEDs and control motors, the theory actually clicks.
Huge credit to the BSCS 24th Batch for the hands-on work, and to Mr. Irfan Ali Baloch for guiding the lab sessions. This is how we bridge theory and practice in CS education at HiAST.
