President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has conferred the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz upon Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri in recognition of his outstanding contributions to higher education, agricultural economics, academic reforms, and educational leadership in Pakistan. The award was presented during a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. 🇵🇰🏅
Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor of University of Sindh and previously held the same position at Sindh Agriculture University. Widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s leading agricultural economists and academic administrators, he has played a vital role in strengthening the country’s higher education sector.
During his tenure at the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan as Member Operations & Planning and Acting Executive Director, Dr. Marri contributed significantly to university modernization, academic governance, and policy reforms. His leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic was especially appreciated for promoting online education and digital learning initiatives across Pakistan.
