'Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) Recruits IIUI Civil Engineers'
A high-level delegation from ACES, a leading Saudi Arabian civil engineering firm, visited the Department of Civil Engineering at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) to explore recruitment opportunities received by Prof Dr Khan Zaib Jadoon (Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology IIUI), and Dr Rashid Farooq Meo (Chairperson, Department of Civil Engineering IIUI). The team, including Mansour Hassan, Ayman A. Tanninah, and Engr. Tanzeel Ur Rehman, expressed admiration for the departmentβs advanced facilities and faculty expertise.
During the visit, ACES conducted interviews with approximately 70 IIUI Civil Engineering alumni. Impressed by the candidatesβ qualifications, the company extended job offers to 21 outstanding individuals on the spot.
Both ACES and IIUI recognized the mutual benefits of a long-term partnership and expressed keen interest in formalizing their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement aims to create internship and employment opportunities for future Civil Engineering graduates.
H.E Prof. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi (IIUI President), emphasized the importance of industry-academia partnerships in providing students with valuable career paths. He praised the collaboration with ACES as a model for fostering stronger ties between academia and the professional world.
