Mr. Muhammad Yousaf Jamil, Director (QEC), Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), conducted an official Self-RIPE Review visit to the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore on May 12–13, 2026, upon the special invitation of the honorable Rector, Air Vice Marshal Prof. Dr. Asif Raza.
The visit was aimed at evaluating institutional quality assurance practices under the Self-RIPE framework. During the review, detailed meetings were held with university leadership, faculty, administrative representatives, and students to assess key areas including academic quality, governance, student support services, research environment, and continuous quality improvement mechanisms.
The review concluded with a constructive discussion of observations and recommendations with UMT leadership, reaffirming their commitment to implementing a comprehensive improvement plan and further strengthening institutional quality standards.
