The central body of FGCTA has been finalized. Mr. Muhammad Akram (H-8) has been elected President, Ms. Ayesha Kiran (F-7/2) as Senior Vice President, Ms. Bushra Kauser (G-10/4) as Vice President, and Ms. Sobia Masood (F-7/2) as Press & Information Secretary. Mr. Tahir Bhutti (H-9) was previously elected as General Secretary, Mr. Danish Yaseen as Joint Secretary, and Mr. Zubairuddin (F-10/4) as Finance Secretary. The elected office bearers pledged to address issues faced by the teaching community, receiving strong support from teaching community.

FGCTA observed Black Day today, protesting against the FBR’s decision to abolish the 25% income tax exemption for teachers. A rally at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College H-8, led by Mr. Danish Yaseen, demanded an immediate reversal of the decision, raising slogans against the move.
