IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized a seminar on Anti-Corruption Awareness on 19th May, 2026.
Various constructive activities were planned for the event. The students of Fine Arts put up an eye catching poster display which highlighted the message that an honest society is the way to progress. Khansa from BS Chemistry presented a persuasive Urdu speech where she encouraged the audience to adopt effective measures to counter the menace of corruption. Aleena Shahid produced a short video which conveyed the fact that corruption alters the lives of individuals for worse due to the dishonest practices involved in it.
In her address, the principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, talked comprehensively on the various facets of corruption. She was of the view that corruption is not merely financial but moral also. A morally corrupt person indulges in all forms of corruption ranging from telling lies, cheating, shirking from our duties and responsibilities or committing financial dishonesty. She also gave a reference of people of Sabbath from the Holy Quran regarding the perils of corruption. She stressed upon the adoption of Sunnah (p.b.u.h) for an honest, successful life.
The students left the seminar feeling motivated to lead a righteous life.

Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/2 Islamabad hosted a motivational lecture from a renowned Islamic scholar, Prof. Imtiaz Ahmed Madni on 18th May, 2026. Prof. Madni has the honour of being the only Pakistani whose translation of Quran namely "The Easy Quran" is certified by Ministry of Information, Saudi Arabia.
His enlightening talk was attended by the respected Principal of the college, the Vice Principals, members of the faculty and the students of BS Islamic Students ( Sem. VI & VIII). He encompassed the significance of praising Allah through various azkars and serving Him by following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). He traced the islamic ideals through the examples of great Muslim women i.e the life long companion of Rasul Allah, Um e Aiman. His words created a soulful ambiance in the auditorium and transfixed the audience with their wisdom. Prof. Madni distributed the books on Seerat un Nabi, authored by him, among the participants. He also conducted a question and answer session.
In the end, the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanner Sheikh, presented the college shield to Prof. Imtiaz Ahmed Madni. The audience left the auditorium with a renewed understanding of Islam.

National Bank of Pakistan ( Islamabad Region) organized a Financial Literacy seminar for the students of BS programs at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Ibd. on 11th May, 2026. The event was attended by Mr. Saqib (Executive Vice President NBP and Regional Head Ibd.) to boost the interest of the attendees. In his remarks, he informed the audience that the banking sector in Pakistan is constantly evolving and endeavouring to provide Shariah compliant financial solutions to the masses.
The presenter of the event, Mr. Arsalan Zaka Butt (Manager, NBP) discussed the aspects of budgeting and investing for a secure future through story telling and comprehensive propagation of technical information.
The students asked questions regarding different investment plans and banking products.
The seminar proved to be a success with the co-operation of the Departments of Economics and Islamic Studies as many of their students participated in the discussion and learned new facts about financial literacy.

A meaningful morning assembly was held at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad on 11th May, 2026 to commemorate the first anniversary of the success in Operation Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos against the unprovoked aggression of our neighbouring country. The assembly was organized by the Student Council to pay tribute to the bravery and dedication of the armed forces and all those who contributed to the success of the operation. The Principal of the college, faculty and the students gathered in the college lawn to participate in the ceremony.
The assembly began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a rousing speech by Ms. Qurat ul Ain Rehan (Dept. of Islamic Studies). She discussed the significance of Jihad against the Non-believers as per the Holy Quran. She stressed upon the fact that the Muslims should remain united "like a solid,cemented structure" (61:4) against the enemy as suggested by the name of the Operation Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos.
The students presented speeches and patriotic songs to express gratitude to the armed forces for their sacrifice and courage and paid tribute to the resilience of the citizens of Pakistan.
The assembly concluded with a renewed pledge of national solidarity and respect for the defenders of the country.

45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2026

Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/2, Ibd. hosted a grand 45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 29th April, 2026 to honour the academic achievements of graduates of BS Psychology, Chemistry, Economics, and Islamic Studies. The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of students from multiple academic sessions, including 2018–2022, 2019–2023, 2020–2024, and 2021–2025.
The ceremony was graced by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence served as an inspiration for the young minds in the audience.
The ceremony formally commenced with a solemn academic procession comprising of the respected faculty, the Vice principals, Principal of the college and the Chief Guest.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, thanked the Chief Guest for her august presence at the Convocation Ceremony. She also presented the College Performance Report, highlighting the institution’s academic progress, achievements, and commitment to excellence in higher education. The report showcased improvements in academic results, co-curricular engagement, and institutional development. Her parting words carried a message of hope for the bright future of the graduates.
A total of 585 students have graduated to date and nearly 299 students were awarded their degrees during the ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. Among them, 198 students earned positions on the Roll of Honours, reflecting outstanding scholastic performance. Additionally, 47 position holders were recognized for their exceptional achievements across the respective subjects and sessions. Huda Khalid, a graduate of BS Chemistry, was given Dr. Azra Raza Award along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 for achieving a perfect CGPA in her degree.
Service Awards were also bestowed upon 12 committed staff members of the college who had completed 25 years of dedicated service.
The Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, addressed the Convocation and congratulated the graduates and their parents. She acknowledged the efforts of the college administration, especially of Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, in making IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Ibd. a premier educational institution. She emphasized upon the importance of educating the young girls for the sake of national development. She appreciated the role of the parents in shaping the future of their daughters. Ms. Wajiha Qamar advised the graduates to stay away from mediocrity in whatever role they choose to undertake in their lives. She encouraged the graduates to contribute positively to our country by pursuing knowledge and becoming a morally sound person.
The Principal of the college presented the college insignia to the Chief Guest, Ms. Wajiha Qamar as a mark of respect and gratitude.
The event concluded on a celebratory note, with graduates, faculty members, and guests expressing pride in the accomplishments of the students. The convocation served as a testament to the college’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering academic excellence.
