Omni Book Publishing is looking for a motivated and creative Social Media & Marketing Intern to help grow our brand’s online presence. This is a 3-month unpaid internship, perfect for students who want real-world digital marketing experience. A certificate will be provided upon completion.

We encourage applications from students in relevant departments (Marketing, Media Sciences, Graphic Design, Business, IT, etc.) who are currently in their 6th, 7th, or 8th semester.

Business Incubation Center (BIC)/Science Technology & Business Space (STBS), International Islamic University Islamabad in collaboration with the Faculty of Management Science (Male) organized an interactive Seminar on Financial Management with Focus on “Financial Planning, Budgeting and Fund Raising for a Business Model” Speaker for the Seminar was Mr. AbuBakar Iqbal, Unit Head Corporate North, Vice President Askari Bank.
The seminar on Financial Management was organized to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of financial planning, budgeting, investment decisions, capital structure, risk management, and the role of financial managers in modern organizations. The session aimed to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications to help students and professionals enhance their financial decision-making skills.
Objectives of the Seminar
• To introduce the fundamentals and importance of financial management.
• To understand tools and techniques used in financial planning and analysis.
• To explore concepts like capital budgeting, working capital management, and cost of capital.
• To develop awareness on personal finance, savings, and investment strategies.
• To highlight current trends and challenges in the financial sector.
Participants actively asked questions regarding investment options, entrepreneur/small business opportunities within limited budget, and techniques for improving personal financial management skills through daily life examples. The speaker provided practical advice and encouraged students to adopt disciplined saving habits and continue developing financial literacy.
The seminar was highly informative and beneficial for all participants. It served as an excellent platform to gain valuable knowledge on modern financial management practices. The session successfully fulfilled its objective of improving financial literacy and developing essential financial skills required in both academic and professional contexts.

President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, inaugurated the university’s new Virtual Business Incubation Program at the Business Incubation Center, where he toured 60 stalls, met incubatees, and reviewed various product prototypes. The ceremony was attended by university leadership, faculty and startup teams, while Vice President (Research & Enterprise) Prof. Dr. Shuja Ahmed Syed was also present.
The launch ceremony was sponsored by the SixB food Industries Pvt. limited. The Virtual Business Incubation Program offers mentorship, online training modules, digital resources and access to industry networks, providing virtual workshops, investor-pitch preparation, legal and financial toolkits and scheduled demo days. Officials said the initiative is designed to address challenges faced by student entrepreneurs and will allow startups to grow beyond geographic limitations while staying connected with IIUI’s academic and research support.
During the visit, the President examined educational technology ideas, health-related innovations and sustainable consumer products presented by incubated teams, who shared progress updates and market-entry plans. University representatives noted that the virtual program will complement on-site facilities and widen incubation capacity for students, faculty and alumni.
Addressing the ceremony, President IIUI Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed said that empowering students to transform ideas into viable businesses is central to the university’s mission. He said the virtual incubator will open new avenues for innovation, strengthen industry linkages and help create jobs contributing to national growth. He urged corporate partners and alumni to join the program as mentors and investors. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed was also present on the occasion.
Director Business Incubation Center and STBS, Engr. Muhammad Ahsen Mirza, said the initiative marks a significant step toward expanding opportunities across Pakistan. He said IIUI has a strong track record of nurturing startups, and the virtual model will extend guidance, networks and market access to emerging entrepreneurs across the country.

In alignment with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s vision to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across academic institutions, a delegation from the Business Incubation Center (BIC), Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), visited the Business Incubation Centre at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) for a knowledge-sharing and benchmarking visit.
The visiting delegation was led by Dr. Sohaib Manzoor, Director BIC, and included Mr. Arsalan Ijaz (Manager Marketing and Communication), Mr. Nasir Mehmood (Business Development Officer), and Mr. Zahid Mehmood (Accounts Officer). The purpose of the visit was to explore best practices in incubation management, student startup facilitation, and entrepreneurship development adopted by IIUI’s BIC.
The delegation was warmly hosted by the IIUI BIC team, led by Engr. Muhammad Ahsen Mirza, Director Business Incubation Centre / Science, Technology and Business Space (STBS), Dr. Munwar Ali Kalwar (Assistant Director, BIC/STBS), and Mr. Jawad Saeed (Coordinator, BIC/STBS).
During the visit, the IIUI team provided a detailed briefing on the structure, initiatives, and impact of their incubation ecosystem. The session covered strategic areas such as startup incubation models, mentorship programs, resource allocation, and student engagement in entrepreneurial activities.
The MUST delegation toured the incubation facility, interacted with incubated startups, mentors, and operational staff, and gained valuable insights into the operational dynamics and success strategies employed at IIUI. Discussions also addressed the challenges faced by early-stage entrepreneurs and the role of universities in providing enabling environments for innovation.
Dr. Sohaib Manzoor and his team appreciated the professional setup and impactful initiatives of IIUI’s Business Incubation Centre. He acknowledged the center’s significant contribution in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among students, and in facilitating the growth of viable business ventures.
Both institutions expressed a mutual desire to establish stronger linkages through formal collaboration, joint activities, and continuous knowledge-sharing to further strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in higher education.
The visit concluded on a positive note with a shared commitment to contribute collectively toward national development through innovation-led entrepreneurship.

President IIUI Visits Business Incubation Centre and Science, Technology & Business Space

The President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, accompanied by Vice President (Research & Enterprise) Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, paid a comprehensive visit to the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) and the Science, Technology, and Business Space (STBS) at the university’s New Campus.
Upon arrival, the President was received by Muhammad Ahsen Mirza, Director BIC and STBS, who briefed the delegation on the centres' performance, ongoing initiatives, and key achievements. The President expressed deep appreciation for the role of these spaces in fostering innovation, promoting entrepreneurship, and supporting student-led startups.
During the tour, the President visited several startup offices and interacted with young entrepreneurs, showing keen interest in their ideas and challenges. He reaffirmed IIUI’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurial ventures and innovation.
A particularly heartwarming moment occurred during a visit to a summer class conducted by the startup “Wisknowledge.” The President engaged with the children, shared personal stories from his own childhood, and distributed chocolates, creating a joyful and memorable experience for the young learners.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed remarked, “Our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives and entrepreneurs receive the support they need to succeed. Engaging directly with our innovators, startups, and even the youngest learners ensures that IIUI remains connected to the community’s evolving needs.”
The visit reaffirmed IIUI’s dedication to building a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and social outreach.
