SSBC Seminar on How to Register Your Business/Company in SECP

The Student Startup Business Centre (SSBC), COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is pleased to organize a seminar on “How to Register Your Business/Company with SECP / How to Incorporate Your Company with SECP” on September 10, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Video Conferencing Room, Junaid Zaidi Library, CUI, Islamabad Campus.

The seminar aims to provide SSBC-enrolled startups with practical guidance on the SECP business/company registration and incorporation process, including the relevant legal, regulatory, and documentation requirements for formally establishing and legalizing a business venture.

Participation

The seminar is mandatory for all SSBC-enrolled startups from the following CUI campuses:

· CUI Islamabad Campus
· CUI Lahore Campus
· CUI Vehari Campus
· CUI Wah Campus

The Islamabad Campus startups will attend the seminar physically at the Video Conferencing Room, Junaid Zaidi Library, while startups from Lahore, Vehari, and Wah Campuses will participate online through the video conferencing facility available at their respective campuses.

The seminar is also open to all interested CUI faculty members, students, and staff, particularly those who are aspiring entrepreneurs or interested in starting and formally registering their businesses.

Interested students from CUI Abbottabad, CUI Sahiwal, and CUI Attock may also participate through the video conferencing facility available at their respective campuses.

The session will enable participants to develop a clear understanding of the company incorporation process, SECP requirements, legal formalities, registration procedures, and key steps involved in establishing a formally registered business in Pakistan.

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan. Funded by the Scottish Government, these grants aim to make higher education more accessible to women, supporting them in achieving their potential and ambition.

Young women with disabilities, from rural areas and/or minority groups are encouraged to apply.

British Council will administer the scheme in Pakistan and coordinate with selected scholars and universities either directly or through nominated university focal persons.

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls is available for candidates pursuing either:

Undergraduate level for a four-year’s bachelor’s degree in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan
Master’s levels degree with a maximum two-year master’s/MPhil degree in any HEC recognized university across Pakistan.
The Award

Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls Scheme will facilitate award-holders with the following:

Tuition fees for courses in eligible fields
University hostel costs (where applicable)
Travel to and from home to university two times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels
Funds for research work to access quality labs, equipment, and tools within the chosen course of study (for master’s only)
Subject Areas

The scholarship will cover a four-year bachelor’s or two-years master's degree at an HEC-recognised Pakistani university in one of the following subject areas only:

Education
Sustainable Energy
Food Security and Agriculture
Health Sciences
STEM
Climate
Eligibility Criteria

These scholarships are open to female applicants only.

In addition, applicants must:

Be Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan
Be pursuing a two year master’s degree or four years bachelors degree in the above listed subject areas
Hold a confirmed admission offer from an HEC recognised university in Pakistan

Advancing the Data Analytical Skills of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare
Alhamdulillah! The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization–Professional Development (ORIC-PD), COMSATS University Islamabad, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy, CUI Lahore Campus, successfully concluded the 5-Week Hands-on Training Program: “Data Analytics I: Pharmaceutical & Clinical Data Processing and Simulation”, held from July 27 to August 28, 2026.
📊 With 109 participants from diverse national and international organizations, including Zhengzhou University, China , the program brought together faculty members, researchers, pharmaceutical professionals, engineers, and students to develop practical skills in pharmaceutical and clinical data analytics, computational tools, data-driven simulation, and evidence-based decision-making for responding to the rapidly evolving needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
The Closing Ceremony, held on August 28, 2026, was graced by Dr. Zafar Mustafa Jajjah, Managing Director, McOLSON Research Laboratories , Lahore, as Chief Guest. Dr. Muhammad Yar, Director, CUI Lahore Campus; Dr. Yasser Shahzad, Head, Department of Pharmacy; Dr. Imran Haider Naqvi, Head Sub Office, ORIC CUI Lahore Campus; and Dr. Muhammad Ihtisham Umer, Resource Person, also attended the ceremony.
💡 Dr. Zafar Mustafa Jajjah congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of ORIC-PD, CUI and CUI Lahore Campus for addressing the emerging skills needs of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. He highlighted the growing importance of data analytics, automation, computational intelligence, quality assurance, product development, and regulatory compliance in a rapidly transforming industry.
