Building upon last semester’s successful introduction of Robotics and Hardware-Software Integration in the curriculum of 3rd-semester students at FAST NUCES Islamabad Campus, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science took the initiative a step further this semester by integrating Artificial Intelligence algorithms into real-world hardware and robotics systems in the course of Artificial Intelligence for 4th-semester data science students. Students designed and developed a wide range of innovative AI-powered hardware and robotics projects, demonstrating the practical implementation of intelligent systems through sensors, automation, embedded devices, and AI-driven decision-making. The projects reflected not only technical creativity and problem-solving skills, but also the department’s commitment to equipping students with hands-on experience aligned with emerging industry demands.
To celebrate the students’ achievements and showcase their work, an exhibition was organized by the Department of AI & DS. The event was attended by the Director of Campus, Dr Waseem Shahzad, Head of School, Dr. Hasan Mujtaba, faculty members, and students, all of whom appreciated the remarkable efforts and creativity displayed in the projects.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Head of Department, Dr. Ahmad Din, and made possible through the collective efforts of the organizing faculty team, including Ms. Umarah Qaseem and Ms. Maryam Hussain, whose mentorship, course designing, teaching and dedication played an important role in making the exhibition a success.
The exhibition marked another significant milestone in the department’s journey toward experiential learning, innovation, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence with real-world robotics applications.
