*“Law in Practice: Career Fair”*

The School of Law, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Research Society of International Law (RSIL), successfully organized “Law in Practice: Career Fair” on 19 May 2026 at SPIR, Seminar Hall, QAU.

The event provided students with valuable insights into diverse legal career pathways through interactive sessions with distinguished legal professionals, including:

Congratulations to Fida Ullah Khan, a second semester student at the School of Law, Quaid i Azam University, who proudly represented QAU through the Quaid i Azam Debating and Literary Society at the 10th All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest held at the University of Gujrat.

The School of Law had the honour of hosting Professor Stefan Hammer University of Vienna during an engaging academic visit, where he delivered an insightful talk on the Austrian constitutional system with a particular focus on the Constitutional Court of Austria. Professor Hammer provided a comparative perspective on constitutional adjudication, explaining the structure, jurisdiction, and functioning of Austria’s constitutional court and highlighting its role in safeguarding constitutional supremacy and fundamental rights. The session offered students and faculty a valuable opportunity to understand constitutional review through the lens of a well-established civil law system.
A vibrant and thought-provoking discussion followed on Pakistan’s constitutional developments, particularly the 27th Constitutional Amendment and the proposed creation of a Federal Constitutional Court in Pakistan. Participants critically examined the future trajectory of constitutional adjudication in Pakistan, drawing comparisons with the Austrian model. Students demonstrated keen interest in constitutional law, actively engaging with questions on judicial review, separation of powers, and the evolving role of constitutional courts, making the session both academically enriching and intellectually stimulating.
