🌟 IEEE Student Orientation & Professional Development Session — Successfully Concluded
IEEE MTT-S MUET SBC, in collaboration with the Telecommunication Department, MUET Jamshoro, IEEE Education Chapter Karachi Section, IEEE SIGHT Karachi Section, IEEE ComSoc Karachi Section Chapter, and IEEE ComSoc MUET SBC, successfully organized the IEEE Student Orientation & Professional Development Session on August 31, 2026, at the AV Hall, IICT Building, MUET.
The session was designed for the 26th Batch students to introduce them to IEEE, its professional opportunities, technical communities, humanitarian initiatives, travel grants, and pathways for professional development. The active participation and enthusiasm of the students made the session highly engaging and productive.
We sincerely appreciate our distinguished speakers:
🔹 Engr. Moiz Rahman Memon , Chair, IEEE SIGHT Karachi Section, for an insightful presentation on IEEE SIGHT and Humanitarian Technology, highlighting opportunities for students to develop technical skills, expand professional networks, and contribute to community-focused projects.
🔹 Mr. Abdul Samad, SSR, IEEE Karachi Section, for sharing his IEEE journey and experiences, along with valuable guidance on travel grant opportunities and an interactive student Q&A session.
The session concluded with remarks by Prof. Dr. Faisal Karim Karim Shaikh, Chairman, Department of Telecommunication Engineering, MUET, who appreciated the speakers and emphasized the importance of IEEE membership and professional engagement.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Permanand Sootahar, Advisor, IEEE MTT-S MUET SBC, and Prof. Dr. Faisal Karim Shaikh for presenting shields of appreciation to the distinguished speakers and organizers.
