In honour of National Library Day, February 20, a seminar was held on the Importance of Libraries in College Education. The speakers for the seminar were Prof. Mehdi Hassan (chief guest), Prof. Mansoor Anis, Prof. Touseef Ahmed, Mr. Ali Asghar Dars and Prof. Moazzam. They all stressed on building a relationship with books and gaining not only knowledge but skills and personal development from books.

As part of AGSC's goal of cultivating students' characters, an art competition was organized by the ABS held and 10 colleges from the East district participated. Khatoon-e-Pakistan Govt. Girls College won first place while Fatimiyya college and Govt. Karachi College got second and third places respectively. All Participants were given certificates of appreciation and the winners received medals. A big thank you to all participants, judges, and organizers for making this event a success.

A cricket Tournament was held at the Hanif Muhammad Cricket Stadium on the 11th of December, 2017 to help relieve students from exam stress and to promote physical activity amongst the students. The winners of this tournament were the Kings, the team from class XII-B and the runner ups were the Lions from Class XI-B. Both teams put on a stunning performance for the final and the game was enjoyed by the Guest of Honor, Prof. Ajaz Farooqi and the hundred or so students and faculty that were present.
