HEC Opens Registration for HAT Test for MS/MPhil Admissions 2026
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened registration for the HAT Test for MS/MPhil programmes. Interested candidates may register through the ETC portal at etc.hec.gov.pk until June 7, 2026.
Please note that registration for the HAT Subject Test for PhD programmes will open separately in June 2026.

The symposium “ Navigating AI, Digital Minds, and Youth Cognitive Health” was successfully held with an audience of university students and faculty members. The event brought together distinguished national leaders, academic experts, and professionals from the fields of health, psychology, and artificial intelligence to discuss the growing impact of AI on youth cognitive development and mental wellbeing.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Vice Chancellor of Khushal Khan Khattak University, Karak participated as keynotes speaker in Bahria University, Islamabad. He highlighted important themes such as cognitive offloading, emotional wellbeing, and the role of AI in modern education systems.
The symposium provided a meaningful platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, focusing on both the benefits and challenges of AI in the lives of young people.

Discussions emphasized the importance of developing healthy cognitive boundaries, strengthening psychological resilience, and ensuring responsible integration of technology in education. The session concluded with a synthesis discussion, student interaction and group photo, marking the successful completion of the event.

Seminar on Academic Audit (IQA & EQA) under Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE)

A seminar titled “Academic Audit: Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) under Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE)” was successfully organized with active participation from heads of academic departments and Program team members from university and affiliated colleges.

The event was held under the supervision of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak.The resource person of the seminar was Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Bangash, Director QEC, Kohat University of Science and Technology, who delivered an insightful presentation on academic audit systems, IQA, EQA, and the role of Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) in improving institutional quality and academic standards.

The seminar was graced by Abdul Baseer, Director QEC, KKKUK, and Dr. Muhammad Anwar KKKUK, who warmly welcomed the participants and appreciated the initiative for strengthening quality assurance practices in higher education.

Abdul Baseer also extended his thanks to all participants for their active involvement and contribution to the academic discussion.

Participants included Heads of all academic departments, program team members, and representatives from affiliated colleges of KKKUK. They actively engaged in the session and shared their experiences regarding quality enhancement and academic improvement processes.

The seminar proved to be highly productive, providing valuable guidance on implementing effective IQA and EQA mechanisms and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in academic institutions.

The Department of Communication and Media Studies organized a one-day seminar titled “Media: From Skill to Career” to provide students with valuable insights into media skills, career development, and professional opportunities in the communication industry.

The seminar featured Dr. Abdur Rauf as the keynote speaker, who highlighted the importance of professional skills, media competencies, and career planning for students aspiring to enter the media field.
