This is a FOURTH announcement for the virtual scientific conference

CLASSICAL AND CONSTRUCTIVE NONASSOCIATIVE

ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES: FOUNDATIONS AND APPLICATIONS – CaCNAS:FA 2021

Dedicated to the memory of Nebojša Stevanović (1962-2009)

The conference will be definitively held online from June 30th - July 2nd, hosted by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Niš with working time ranging from 8am-8pm CET. Having in mind that the CaCNAS 2021 presenters are residing in a wide range of time we will try to schedule speakers in for them the least cumbersome time.

In case that we are unable to schedule someone’s talk during his local daytime, but also in order to avoid last time connection technical difficulties, we will allow everyone to upload his videotaped presentations prior to the conference. Each videotaped presentation will be given a time slot during the conference and the presenter will be expected to participate in the daily discussions.

We also invite you to let us know about your possibility (or impossibility) to present your work on a certain day between June 30th - July 2nd, so that we can take this into account when creating the conference program.

The conference will comprise keynote and invited as well as contributed talks related to the following topics:

l Groupoids (binary systems) and their generalizations (AG-groupoids, quasigroups, loops);

l Nonassociative algebras and their generalizations (left almost algebras);

l Ordered nonassociative algebraic structures (logical algebras);

l Applications within natural sciences and engineering;

l Computer-aided development and transformation of the theory of nonassociative algebraic structures.

l Algebraic geometry and its relations with quiver algebras,

l Enumerative combinatorics

l Representation theory

l Fuzzy Logic and Foundation Theory

l Fuzzy Algebraic Structures

l Group amalgams

l Actions of groups on various geometric objects, such as diagram geometric and buildings

l Constructive nonassociative algebraic structures.

The Department is the oldest centre of Mathematics in the north-western Subcontinent. It was founded by eminent Mathematician, Prof. W. H. Crank in 1864, after he took over as Officiating Principal of Government College Lahore. The Department maintained high standards ever since its inception. Celebrated Number Expert of the Subcontinent, Dr. S. Chawla was a Pre-partition old Ravain who later became Chairperson of the Department and served from 1935 to 1947. He conducted research in collaboration with leading Mathematicians of his time including C. Bose and Prof. Artin and his contributions were acknowledged by the American Mathematical Society.

The year 1966 marked the advent of a new era for the Department where Master Programme was launched independently at Government College Lahore, on the initiative of a competent teacher and administrator, Prof. L. M. Chawala, who had earlier launched the publication of the journal of “Natural Sciences and Mathematics” in 1961. An esteemed Ravian (session 1944-1946), a great mathematician of the 20th century, and later Chairperson, Department of Mathematics (1951- 1952), Prof. Salam earned international distinction by receiving over 20 prestigious awards, finally winning the Nobel Prize for Theoretical Physics in 1979.
