On May 18, 2026, students of the Faculty of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK), proudly participated in the IV International Olympiad of Morphology and Practical Skills, organized by the Departments of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery, Histology, Embryology, Cytology, and Disaster Medicine held in Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

The Olympiad brought together 10 universities from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with participation conducted in both English and Russian mediums. The competition included highly challenging theoretical, practical, and clinical stations designed to assess deep academic knowledge, diagnostic reasoning, and applied clinical skills.

Representing IUK under the team name “THE HISTONAUTS,” participants demonstrated strong academic preparation, teamwork, and professionalism, throughout all stages of the Olympiad, among highly competitive international teams, security SECOND PLACE 🥈

We are proud to share that Asad Ullah Khan, a 5th-year medical student of the General Medicine program at the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISMIUK), has been honored with the Best Volunteer of the Year 2025 Award by the NGO Active Volunteers of Kyrgyzstan.

On May 16, 2026, students of the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISM IUK) proudly participated in the Interuniversity Olympiad of Cardiology, organized by the International Medical University.

The competition brought together more than 10 universities from across the Kyrgyz Republic, featuring 13 teams and 65 participants. Amid strong competition, the ISM IUK team delivered an exceptional performance and secured 1st place overall.

The Olympiad was structured to assess theoretical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and practical skills through real-time clinical scenarios, evaluated by an expert jury. It included theoretical, practical, and case-based clinical stages designed to test both knowledge and application under pressure.

The award ceremony was conducted by the President of the IMU Consortium, along with senior representatives of the Therapy and Pediatric departments of the International Medical University.

🏆 Victory at the Interuniversity Debate Championship 🏆

On May 11, 2026, students of the International School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISM IUK) proudly participated in the Interuniversity Debate Championship organized by Royal Metropolitan University.
Competing against more than 10 universities from across the Kyrgyz Republic, with 12 teams and 36 participants, the ISM IUK team delivered an outstanding performance in highly competitive and thought-provoking debates.
The team secured 2nd place, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

On 28th April 2026, representatives of ISMUK proudly participated in the International Zoom Conference “Health Vibe 2k26”, organized by International European-university.

The conference brought together students from leading international universities along with medical professionals from multiple countries, who joined the sessions via Zoom. The event was structured into two segments: one dedicated to young researchers and another for senior doctors.

We are proud to share that Ubaid Ullah Nawaz presented his research on Cross Sectional Analytical Study of Urinary Tract Infection Among International Female Community of the Medical Students in Kyrgyzstan in the student research session, while Dr. Dzhunushalieva Aigerim, doctor neonatologist-anaesthesiologist at national centre of maternity and childhood welfare, assistant of Pediatrics department ISM IUK presented valuable insights on neonatal health issues and challenges of NICU in the doctors’ session.

The Student Delegation of ISMIUK visited Jalalabad International Medical University on 5th May 2026, marking another significant milestone in strengthening inter-university cooperation and academic diplomacy.

During the visit, the delegates of ISMIUK met with the Dean and Vice Dean of JAIU at the Student Town of JAIU, where productive discussions were held regarding the outstanding achievements and international recognition of ISMIUK students in the fields of research and medical education. Both sides also discussed future partnerships, collaborative research projects, and the establishment of 1-week student research exchange programs.

The delegation further visited the newly inaugurated Shifa International Hospital and the Anatomy Museum of the university, appreciating the institution’s academic and clinical advancements.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between the student bodies of both universities, laying the foundation for long-term institutional collaborations and mutual academic growth. University merchandise were also exchanged between the parties as a gesture of goodwill, friendship, and respect for a promising future together.

With this visit, the Student Council of ISMIUK proudly takes another step forward on the hill of international partnerships and global academic collaboration.
