Sir, Dr. Mughees Uddin we warmly welcome you on the behalf of media and communication faculty and students.
This is to intimate you that Dr. Mughees Uddin Sheikh has joined us as Professor in Department of Media and Communication at School of Social Sciences & Humanities on February 6th, 2019.
He holds a Masters and PhD degree in Journalism from School of Media and Communication Studies, University of Iowa, USA, and is a renowned international scholar, educationist and analyst.
Coming from his previous position as Professor and Dean at University of Central Punjab, Dr Mughees brings an impressive portfolio of administrative accomplishments and a commitment to diversity, inclusion and student success. He has a wonderfully positive outlook towards the field of Journalism and is uniquely qualified to expand the horizons of Media Department.
Earlier in his career, he had also served as Dean of the Department of Mass Communication Management Studies, Superior University, and Director of Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab University.
In more than 30 years of serving at prestigious and well-renowned universities and Institutes, Dr. Mughees Uddin Sheikh has published approx. more than 50 research papers internationally. With his progressive vision, we are hopeful that his appointment at this position will enhance and broaden the experiential opportunities for faculty and students.
