Students of COTHM Johar Town visited the K&N’s processing plant for an industrial visit aimed at understanding how leading food brands operate, maintain quality standards, and manage industry challenges.

The visit gave culinary students valuable exposure to real-world food production processes, brand building strategies, hygiene management, and operational pressure handling in a professional environment. It was an informative and practical learning experience that helped students connect classroom knowledge with industry practices.

Today’s practical focused on preparing a classic Greek salad. Students practiced essential knife skills, including precise vegetable cutting and uniform slicing for presentation. Alongside the recipe, they explored the origin of the dish and its roots in Mediterranean cuisine. A simple preparation, but a strong exercise in technique, consistency, and understanding culinary heritage.
