SDSB hosted Fizza Aamir, Manager at Bain & Company, for an engaging online guest session for our undergraduate students in the DISC 320: Management Inquiry class taught by Dr. Zehra Waheed.

Drawing on her global consulting experience, Ms. Aamir introduced students to the external problem-solver’s perspective towards management problem-solving, highlighting how consultants navigate ambiguity through structured thinking, hypothesis-led inquiry, and evidence-based decision-making.

What made the session especially insightful was the connection between classroom concepts and professional practice, allowing students to better understand how consultants diagnose problems, test assumptions, and develop actionable recommendations in real-world settings.

Saud Alam (MBA 2026) shares his experience as an exchange student at Koç Üniversitesi , Turkey:

"When I first arrived in Istanbul, I was immediately struck by the city’s energy and the anticipation of new experiences, and that feeling became the greatest gift of all. Walking into Koç University on day one, I was welcomed by the warmth and hospitality of the Turkish people and faculty, who guided me not only academically but also through Turkey’s rich culture and heritage.

Exploring Turkey’s landscapes and history broadened my perspective in ways I had not expected. The friendships I built at Koç University were genuine and enduring, shaped through conversations with classmates from diverse backgrounds and shared experiences across Istanbul, Cappadocia, and the Aegean coast. These interactions pushed me to think beyond the Pakistani context while proudly representing Pakistan and LUMS wherever I went.

I returned not only with a broader network but also with a deeper appreciation for global perspectives, cultural exchange, and Turkish hospitality".

Each year, MBA students at SDSB can opt to spend a semester abroad at one of our exchange partner schools. Global exchanges enhance the student experience, shaping how our MBA students engage and lead across diverse settings.
