Kinnaird College celebrated the spirit of Marka-e-Haq through the event 'From Bunyun-um-Marsoos to Islamabad Talks' hosted by the International Relations Club on May 14, 2026.
The event featured Brigadier (R) Dr. Nayer Fardows, Commodore Ehsan Ahmed Khan SI(M), and Air Commodore Khalid Chishti (R) as keynote speakers. Through their insightful addresses, the speakers highlighted Pakistan’s growing global significance, reflecting upon Pakistan’s Operation Bunyun-um-Marsoos in response to India’s Operation Sindoor during the Pakistan-India conflict of May 2025. The discussion further explored how Pakistan’s strategic, diplomatic, and regional importance became increasingly evident during the Islamabad Talks amid the Iran-US conflict of 2026.
The event also featured a soulful choir performance by the Kinnaird Choir, who paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces through heartfelt national songs that filled the hall with patriotic spirit and emotion.
A special segment of the ceremony was led by Principal Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum, who invited the deans, organizing committee members, and supporting staff on stage to form a symbolic “Bunyun-um-Marsoos,” representing the unity and collective strength of every sector of Pakistan standing together for the nation. This powerful moment was met with great appreciation and enthusiasm from the audience.
The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting celebration, marking the occasion with unity, patriotism, and high spirits among the distinguished guests and attendees alike.
The Kinnaird IR Club extends its sincere gratitude to the keynote speakers, organizers, faculty, and students whose collective efforts made the event both memorable and impactful.

The session provided valuable insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in modern businesses and emerging industry trends. It was a great learning opportunity for our students to gain industry exposure and interact with professionals.

Kinnaird College Anti-Drug & To***co Committee organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Seminar on May 5, 2026, in collaboration with the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force. Brigadier Mazhar Iqbal (DG PCNF) was the keynote speaker, while Prof. Dr. Masha Asad Khan delivered the welcome address and highlighted the committee’s ongoing awareness initiatives.
The session focused on the harmful effects of drug use and the importance of prevention, encouraging students to make responsible choices. The session was also attended by Ms. Abeeha Shaloom, Ms. Saima Mubeen, Dr. Ammara Rubab, Dr. Shireen Mushtaq, Academic Deans, faculty members and students. An awareness walk was also held to promote a drug-free lifestyle.
Principal Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum reaffirmed the college’s commitment to a safe, healthy, and drug-free campus.

We are proud to share that our star batters Sadaf Shamas and Sidra Amin showcased exceptional performance on the International stage against Zimbabwe at National Stadium Karachi.

Faculty Development Workshop titled “Qualitative Research for Theory Development: Thematic and Content Analysis using NVivo.” on April 23, 2026
Under the visionary leadership of Professor Dr. Iram Anjum, Principal of Kinnaird College for Women, the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) successfully organized a Faculty Development Workshop titled “Qualitative Research for Theory Development: Thematic and Content Analysis using NVivo” on 23 April 2026 at the LC-IT Lab.
This valuable initiative was taken by the Director ORIC, aiming to strengthen the research capacity of faculty members and promote the effective use of NVivo software for qualitative data management and analysis. Faculty members from the departments of Accounting & Finance, Business Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Sports and Physical Education, International Relations, Applied Linguistics, English Literature, Education, Media Studies, Persian, and Urdu actively participated in the hands-on training.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Professor Dr. Iram Anjum presented a shield and token of appreciation to the resource person Prof Dr Rab Nawaz in recognition of his valuable contribution. The Vice Principal of Kinnaird College for Women distributed certificates among all participants, appreciating their active engagement in this important faculty capacity-building initiative.
