The Career Counseling Session on Chartered Accountancy organized by the Syed Babar Ali Society for Commerce was successfully conducted, providing students with valuable insights into the pathway of becoming a Chartered Accountant. The session highlighted the profession, eligibility criteria, entry routes, examination structure, and the opportunities that come with pursuing Chartered Accountancy. 📊

We were honored to host Anayat Ullah Khan, a Chartered Accountant and Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), with over 26 years of professional experience, mainly in education management for institutions offering Chartered Accountancy and other professional accountancy qualifications. He currently serves as Deputy Director – North Region (Student, Training Affairs & Learning Partners) at ICAP, overseeing matters related to students, training affairs, and learning partners.

He has also served as President of the CA Toastmasters Club Lahore (2024–25) and Vice President (2022–2024), reflecting his dedication to leadership and communication. Guided by his vision of “Education for All,” he delivered an insightful session that greatly benefited the students.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Anayat Ullah Khan and his colleagues from ICAP for taking the time to guide and inspire our students, making the session both informative and impactful. 🎓✨

Today, on 15th January 2026, we celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Syed Babar Ali, one of Pakistan’s most visionary leaders, philanthropists, and pioneers in education and business.
Born in Lahore in 1926, he completed his B.Sc. from Government College, Lahore, laying the foundation for a life devoted to excellence, innovation, and national development.
Syed Babar Ali is a legendary industrialist whose contributions have shaped Pakistan’s corporate landscape. He is the founder of Packages Limited, Milkpak Limited (now Nestlé Pakistan), Tri-Pack Films, and IGI Insurance, and has played a pivotal role in notable joint ventures with Siemens and Coca-Cola. Through his entrepreneurial vision, he created countless opportunities, set high standards for business excellence, and played a major role in Pakistan’s industrial and economic growth.
Beyond business, he is a visionary educationist and philanthropist. He established the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the Ali Institute of Education, institutions that continue to empower generations of young minds with knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to service.
On this historic day, the Syed Babar Ali Society for Commerce honors his remarkable life and legacy — a century of visionary leadership, innovation, and selfless contribution that continues to inspire young minds to dream bigger, work harder, and make a meaningful impact in society.
