The Department of Software Engineering held its 2nd Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meeting on 9th December 2025 to strengthen academia–industry linkages, align the curriculum with market needs, and gather expert input for enhancing student learning, employability, and professional readiness. The meeting, conducted in a hybrid format, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad (Dean, FCSE) and attended by Mr. Maqsood Mazhar (Manager ORIC) along with faculty members Engr. Dr. Akhtar Badshah (HoD, DSE), Engr. Dr. Khalil Ullah, Engr. Dr. Muhammad Waqas, Engr. Shaukat Ali and Engr. Jehangir M. Khan. The Department extends its sincere gratitude to the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmad, for his continuous support and guidance, and acknowledges the collective efforts of faculty in strengthening OBE implementation, PEC accreditation processes, and the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) framework.
Four distinguished industry experts participated in the meeting and shared valuable insights: Engr. Waheed Khan (KP Public Service Commission), Engr. Muhammad Iqbal (Founder & CEO, Welldux), Engr. Sadeeq Ullah (Principal Software Engineer, TEO International), and Engr. Fazal Mola Jan (CTO, Code Crush Technologies). Their recommendations on curriculum enhancement, emerging technologies, and industry expectations provided meaningful guidance for bridging the gap between academia and industry.
