As part of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab initiative commemorating 75 years of Pakistan–China diplomatic friendship, the University of Rasul successfully organized online presentations on Chinese culture and traditions under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq (TI).

The sessions were conducted for the faculty members and students of the university and featured distinguished Chinese speakers, including Chen Yutong and Xiao Yuhan from China University of Geosciences, along with Wang Xuemeng and Xu Ziyang from Beijing Forestry University. The presentations provided valuable insights into Chinese cultural heritage, traditions, language, and the historical significance of Pakistan–China relations.

These academic and cultural engagements reflected the shared commitment of both countries toward strengthening educational cooperation, promoting intercultural understanding, and further enhancing the enduring bond of friendship between Pakistan and China.

Today, 21st May 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, organized a graceful ceremony in which the Dean, Prof. Dr. Shaista Irshad Khan, distributed cheques among the winners of the Corruption Prevention Competition and awarded certificates to the volunteer team in recognition of their commendable services and active participation.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Zulcaif, Director QEC; Dr. Tanzila Riaz, Associate Professor; and Dr. Mahwish Shamim, Focal Person PHEC, whose participation further highlighted the collective dedication of the University towards fostering institutional excellence and moral values.

The University of Rasul Mandi Bahauddin successfully conducted the meetings of the Board of Faculty (BOF) for the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Business, Economics & Law today with the participation of distinguished academicians and experts from renowned universities of Pakistan.
The Board of Faculty meeting of the Faculty of Social Sciences was chaired by Prof. Dr. Shaista Irshad Khan, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. The meeting was attended by eminent external experts including Prof. Dr. Fayyaz Ahmad, Expert/Member from the Department of Statistics, University of Gujrat, and Dr. Riffat-Un-Nisa, Expert/Member from the Department of English, University of Sargodha. During the meeting, important academic matters, curriculum development, quality enhancement, and future academic initiatives were discussed in detail.
Similarly, the Board of Faculty meeting of the Faculty of Business, Economics & Law was chaired by Prof. Dr. Faisal Mehmood Mirza, Dean of the faculty. Distinguished experts including Prof. Dr. Mirza Ashfaq Ahmed, Expert/Member from Business Administration, University of Gujrat, and Dr. Silvia Khattak from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan participated in the proceedings. The participants reviewed academic programs, discussed strategic directions for academic excellence, and emphasized alignment of curricula with modern educational and industry requirements.

Organized by Dr. Mudasar Jahan and Dr. Mahwish Shamim, the event featured posters created by students from all departments, with oversight from Dr. Saeed Ahmed.

University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin successfully conducted its 4th Selection Board meeting for faculty recruitment under the chairmanship of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, . . (T.I.) on May 18th & 19th, 2026.
A total of 23 faculty positions were advertised in various academic departments including the Department of Computer Science, Software Engineering & Information Technology, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Department of Pharmacy, Department of International Relations, Department of Psychology, School of Law, Department of English, Department of Management Sciences, Department of Economics, and Islamic Studies.
For these positions, a total of 88 candidates were shortlisted for interviews. Among them, 08 candidates participated through online interviews.
The Selection Board comprised eminent academicians and professionals including Prof. Dr. Tasawar Hayat, Member, (Department of Mathematics, Qaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad), Brig. (R) Dr. Muhammad Ashiq, Member (Military College of Signals, Rawalpindi), Prof. Muhammad Asif Sharif, Member (Department of Fine Arts, University of Gujrat), concerned Deans, and two subject experts from each concerned department.
Prof. Dr. Shaista Irshad Khan, Dean/ Registrar was the Secretary of the Selection Board, Whereas, Dr. Zulcaif, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), participated as the Non-Voting Member of the Selection Board.
During the meeting, candidates were evaluated on the basis of academic credentials, professional experience, research profile, communication skills, and subject expertise. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the university’s commitment to merit, transparency, and academic excellence in the recruitment process.
The successful conduct of the 4th Selection Board reflects the continued efforts of University of Rasul to strengthen its academic and research environment by appointing highly qualified faculty members.
