Dear all welcome to the official page of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mirpur University of Science & Technology, Mirpur AJK. The Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) enjoys a bright history of educating the students in diverse disciplines. Situated at the heart of Mirpur city, the DEE endeavors to provide a favorable climate of knowledge with 16 dedicated and 4 shared laboratories, a furnished library with modern facilities, undergraduate hostels for boys and girls, examination halls, and lecture rooms. The DEE has worked hard to improve the quality of its faculty. The department is honored to have a vibrant combination of highly qualified faculty, graduated from universities of high repute. The highly qualified faculty of the department is continuously publishing research articles, reflected by the highest number of publications in 2020 among all the engineering departments of MUST. Furthermore, the department has both academic and industrial collaborations at national and international levels.
The DEE MUST is graduating its students for last 40 years and its graduates have meaningful and conspicuous representation in offices related to power, communication, and electronics industry within and even outside Pakistan. Furthermore, faculty and students of DEE MUST boldly contribute towards co-curriculum activities. The continuing record of successes adds to the honor of DEE faculty and students. The DEE MUST strive to enrich its traditions and disciplined environment of the campus.
The department has shifted on Outcome Based Education (OBE) and successfully got PEC accreditation at level II for its batches 2016-20, 2017-21 and 2018-22. The batches on level II will enjoy acceptance of their degrees in the developed countries and signatories of Washington Accord such as USA, UK, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, and Turkey among other countries.
