🌍 Seminar on “ *One Health Pandemic Preparedness and Response”* 🐾🦠

The Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), successfully organized an insightful seminar on “ *One Health Pandemic Preparedness and Response* ” on *4 September 2026* .
The seminar brought together veterinary professionals, faculty members, and students to strengthen awareness and understanding of the One Health approach and its vital role in preventing, preparing for, and responding to emerging and re-emerging health threats.

Project Manager - Pandemic Fund, FAO shared valuable perspectives on One Health, pandemic preparedness and response, disease prevention and control, food safety, and multisectoral collaboration, emphasizing the need for integrated action across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
The session was expertly moderated by *Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais,* while *Dr. Ehtisham Khan* One Health Project Coordinator, FAO, participated in the event and contributed to the professional engagement and exchange of knowledge. *Dr. Muhammad Armaghan Shazad, Laboratory Associate-Pandemic Fund contributed in the quiz competition "Kahoot"
✨ The event was graced by *Prof. Dr. Faqir Muhammad* , Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, as the Chief Guest. His presence added significance to the occasion and reflected the Faculty’s commitment to advancing veterinary education, public health, and professional development.
The successful organization and ex*****on of the seminar were made possible under the leadership of *Dr. Irtaza Hussain* , Chief Organizer, whose efforts contributed to creating a meaningful platform for academic and professional interaction.
The seminar provided students and faculty with an opportunity to engage with contemporary challenges surrounding pandemic preparedness, disease surveillance and control, food safety, public health, and One Health, while fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
