11 May 2026 Nawabshah:

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, organized a student walk and aware rally today at the Department of Electronics Engineering in collaboration with Students' Consultative Burea as part of the ongoing Marka-e-Haq One Year Anniversary Commemoration Activities.

The session was guided by Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Chandio, Dean Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Students from various departments and teachers also participated in the rally.

The event was organized as part of the university’s series of activities from 1st to 10th May 2026 to commemorate Marka-e-Haq and to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The Inauguration Ceremony for the AR/VR & Digital Twin Lab, which was established as part of the Erasmus+ CATCH_VR project, took place successfully on May 7, 2026, at the Department of Software Engineering, QUEST Nawabshah. The worthy Vice Chancellor of QUEST, Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Pro Vice Chancellor QUEST, Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Mukwana, along with the CATCH_VR project officer and Chairman of the Software Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Pardeep Kumar, and all respected Deans, officially inaugurated the lab.

CATCH_VR is an international consortium comprising eight universities from Pakistan and Europe, aiming at enhancing immersive learning, AR/VR technologies, and Digital Twin innovation within engineering education. As a key member of this distinguished consortium, QUEST Nawabshah is playing an active role in research, capacity building, and the creation of technologically advanced labs and learning environments that prepare students for the future.

The newly launched AR/VR & Digital Twin Lab will function as a center for innovation, research collaboration, and industry-focused learning and will offer students and researchers practical experience in immersive technologies, virtual simulations, digital modeling, and smart engineering applications.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the AR/VR & Digital Twin Lab, established under the Erasmus+ CATCH_VR project, was successfully held on May 7, 2026, at the Department of Software Engineering, QUEST Nawabshah. The lab was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Mukwana, CATCH_VR Project Officer and Chairman Software Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Pardeep Kumar, along with respected Deans.

Nawabshah: QUEST organizes Essay Writing Competition under Marka-e-Haq Commemoration Activities

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, organized an Essay Writing Competition today at the Department of Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) as part of the ongoing Marka-e-Haq One Year Anniversary Commemoration Activities.

The competition was held under the theme “What you learn from Marka-e-Haq” / “معرکۂ حق سے کیا سیکھا؟”. Students participated enthusiastically and expressed their thoughts on the lessons of truth, courage, sacrifice, unity, national resolve, and commitment to the defence and progress of Pakistan.

The activity aimed to encourage students to reflect on the importance of national solidarity and the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, while also developing their writing, analytical, and expressive skills. Participants wrote in English and Urdu, highlighting how Marka-e-Haq represents the spirit of truth, service, resilience, and patriotism.

The competition was conducted in an organized manner, with evaluation based on originality, relevance, structure, subject knowledge, clarity of expression, and strength of argument. Winners will be awarded prizes in recognition of their performance.

QUEST faculty members, officers, and organizers appreciated the active participation of students and emphasized that such academic and patriotic activities help strengthen awareness, responsible citizenship, and love for the country among the youth.

A Solidarity Walk under the theme “Marka-e-Haq” was organized at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, to express national unity and unwavering support for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Faculty members, officers, staff, and students actively participated in the walk. The participants carried national flags and banners and raised slogans in solidarity with the Pakistan Army and Armed Forces, paying tribute to their sacrifices, courage, and commitment to the defence of the country.

The participants also condemned Indian aggression, false propaganda, and double standards, while reaffirming that the people of Pakistan stand united against all external threats.

The university community emphasized the importance of national cohesion, peace, discipline, and collective responsibility. QUEST reaffirmed its commitment to promoting patriotism, awareness, and unity among students and society.
