UBL wins UO’s Investment bid
The United Bank Limited (UBL) secured the University of Okara’s (UO) bid for investment of Pension Funds and General Endowment Fund by offering the highest profit rate.
The UO invited Expressions of Interest (EOTs) from various banks. A total of five banks participated in the process that was strictly oversighted by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sajjad Mubin, himself and the team of the Treasurer Office including the Additional Treasurer, Dr. Sohail Maqbool, and Deputy Treasurer, Umer Rauf.
After winning the bid, the UBL’s team including the Deputy CEO, Abdul Aleem Qureshi; Group Head, Muhammad Ramzan; General Manager, Dilshad Aslam Chaudary; Regional Operations Head, Muhammad Shahid Saleem and the Branch Manager, Muhammad Hanan Tahir, signed the contract with the university. The UO’s Registrar, Jamil Asim; Director External Linkages, Dr. Ekaterina Gavrishyk, and Deputy Director (Press, Media & Publications), Sharjeel Ahmed, were also present at the eve.
The UBL team also shared the vision of the bank President, Javed Iqbal, for offering special profit and services packages to the educational institutions.
