Govt. Degree College Pabbi - Nowshera BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE
Pabbi is a famous town of district Nowshera, situated on the side of Grand Trunk road between Nowshera through Peshawar. Govt.

In 2008, Pabbi was given a status of Tehsil. Although the majority of the population of this area is related not only to agriculture but various other fields of life are also being practiced. The importance of education among the youth of this area is growing with the passage of time. That’s why owing to the increasing educational needs, Govt. Intermediate college Pabbi was established on 14th Apr

il, 1977. For the first few years, the college was launched in the rented buildings of the primary school and Rural Developmental Centre respectively. However, adjacent to the stated building, a piece of land of 20 Kanals was secured for the construction of the new building. The present building of the college is at a distance of half Km from the G.T road. The college was awarded degree level status in August 1987 and the bachelor classes started in the same year. Degree College Pabbi is affiliated for the intermediate examination with BISE Mardan, while for BA/BSc examinations it is affiliated with the University of Peshawar. In 2019, the college was allowed to start BS classes under the government policy. BS classes have been started in seven different disciplines (Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Political Science, Urdu, English and Mathematics) in Government Degree College, Pabbi.

گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج پبی میں محکمہ ہائیر ایجوکیشن کے نامور اور قابلِ احترام اساتذہ پروفیسر خالد سہیل ملک، محب اللہ، بخت منیر، سردار احمد اور منہاس احمد کے اعزاز میں ایک الوداعی پر تکلف ضیافت کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر کالج کے اساتذہ، طلبہ اور انتظامی عملے کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔
تقریب کا آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک سے ہوا، جس کے بعد پرنسپل گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج پبی نے معزز ریٹائر ہونے والے پروفیسران کی تعلیمی خدمات کو زبردست خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ اساتذہ اپنے وسیع تجربے، علمی مہارت اور طلبہ کی اخلاقی و تعلیمی تربیت میں نمایاں کردار کی وجہ سے ہمیشہ یاد رکھے جائیں گے۔
مختلف اساتذہ نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ریٹائر ہونے والے پروفیسران نے نہ صرف تدریسی میدان میں گراں قدر خدمات انجام دیں بلکہ کالج کے علمی و ادبی ماحول کو جلا بخشی۔ ان کے طلبہ آج مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی میں کامیابی سے خدمات سرانجام دے رہے ہیں، جو ان کی بہترین تدریس کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے۔
تقریب کے اختتام پر ریٹائر ہونے والے پروفیسرز کو یادگاری تحائف پیش کیے گئے اور ان کی صحت و درازیِ عمر کے لیے دعا کی گئی۔ پرنسپل اور دیگر اساتذہ نے امید ظاہر کی کہ وہ ریٹائرمنٹ کے بعد بھی علم و ادب کے فروغ کے لیے اپنی خدمات جاری رکھیں گے۔
یہ تقریب نہ صرف ایک الوداعی لمحہ تھی بلکہ ایک یادگار موقع بھی، جس نے اساتذہ اور طلبہ کے درمیان علمی رشتے کی اہمیت کو ایک بار پھر اجاگر کیا۔
