Faculty of Fisheries and Wildlife is one of the largest faculties of UVAS, Lahore, and is unique in applied research, the latest education, and is home to the state-of-the-art developments in the areas of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Wildlife and Ecology. The faculty of Fisheries and Wildlife has developed its research and teaching facilities at C Block, Ravi campus Pattoki with HEC funded projects for
both Wildlife and Ecology (38.728 million) and Fisheries and Aquaculture (39.331 million). Both departments have well equipped labs for investigative studies on various aspects of Fisheries and Aquaculture, like Fish Nutrition and Feeding, Soil and Water Chemistry, Disease diagnosis and Treatment, Ornithology, Herpetology and Mammology. All the 33 fish ponds have been stocked with different fish species i.e. Labeo rohita, Catla catla, Cirrhinus mrigala, Ctenopharngodon idella, Hypophthalmicthys molitrix, Cyprinus carpio, Oreochromis nilotica, Channa marulius and Pangasius spp. at the rate of 800 fish/acre.We have modern fully functional fish hatchery where students work on induced spawning experiments especiallyon most valuable and endangered species. We have several animal enclosures for Wildlife where we have mouflon sheep, blackbuck, Hog dear, variety of pheasants like golden and silver pheasant, peacock, and peafowl, which are available to the students for their research projects. We have five-degree programs three in Fisheries & Aquaculture, (BS Hons., M. Phil and PhD) and two (M. Phil and PhD) in Wildlife & Ecology, classes and practicals are all conducted at C-Block, Ravi Campus. Four new degree programs have been initiated in the discipline of Zoology under the collaboration of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture and Department of Wildlife and Ecology. UNDERGRADUATE:
