Have you ever felt that someone else was on your computer logically sensing an invisible presence, yet being unable to see it?

That is exactly what we explored in our recent Malware Awareness Session, organized by the CECOS IT Society under the supervision of Dr. Mansoor.

We were honored to host an exceptional speaker, Kashif Ali, a VMware expert from Peshawar, who shared valuable industry insights and real-world experiences. The session concluded with an engaging online activity where students formed groups on Yakoot and competed to answer 15 questions, with the fastest participants being rewarded with chocolates.

What truly stood out was the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students. Participants from diverse departments including Medical, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and BBA actively engaged in the session. Even non-technical students were amazed by how advanced technology has become and how easily systems can be vulnerable to cyber threats.

On 10th December 2025, The CITS (Cecos IT Society)Core Team had the privilege of visiting University of Information and Technology and Emerging Sciences during their high-tech event, where we explored innovative projects, emerging technologies, and advanced technical setups. During the visit, we had productive discussions about event planning, technical exhibitions, team management, and the overall working structure of such large-scale tech events. The interaction allowed us to exchange ideas, learn from their experience, and gain valuable insights to enhance our future events and initiatives. It was truly an inspiring and informative experience that strengthened inter-university collaboration and learning. 🤝✨

CECOS University - Department of Computer Science, under CECOS IT SOCIETY (CITS) and the CDC (Career Development Center) successfully hosted the IBDP Weekly Bazaar on Thursday, 4 December 2025, featuring a dynamic blend of local startups and CECOS student ventures. The event will highlight entrepreneurship, technology, and creative products on campus, with participation from SCCI, Women CCI, KP-TEVTA, KPEZDMC, and KPEC. This initiative strengthens industry-academia collaboration and offers valuable exposure to young innovators. Powered by the Inclusive Business Development Park, an initiative of KPEZDMC under the World Bank's IDA through KPEC, the showcase reflects a strong commitment to regional economic development.
