*Joining Procedure*

All students will report on 26th September 2022 at 0900 hours at NBC. On arrival, the students will sign the arrival register placed at the reception office of NBC. You are required to submit your original educational documents at Exam Branch. After submission of original documents and supporting documents you will receive a registration card; without registration card you will not be allowed to sit in the class.

NBC is arranging an Orientation Day for the freshmen on 26th September 2022. Registration & document collection will be conducted on orientation day. Freshman students also will be facilitated to apply for hostel accommodation and Cantt entry pass. The orientation day is planned for the freshmen to enhance your awareness about NBC facilities. It will be a very interesting and beneficial program, for the new entrants. You are advised to attend the Orientation Day for better awareness of the University administration, infrastructure, labs and other facilities available in campus.

06 》 General Information

06.1 》 Accommodation.
a. NBC Campus Hotels (Girls & Boys) are ready and will start allotment of previous bachtes in next week and New Students will get hostel by joining day.

b. NBC students requesting hostel accommodation will be provided with furnished rooms. However, Quetta is cold area Temperature (-6 to -7) students shall bring hot/warm clothes, jackets & their own bedding, i.e., bed cover, pillow with cover, blanket, etc.

c. Mess.
All students utilizing the hostel facilities will dine in respective hostel mess and would be required to clear mess bills on monthly basis. They will become members of the mess on the day of reporting.

d. Personal Transport.
Students joining the hostel are allowed to bring bicycle only at the time of joining. Other transport car/motor cycle will require prior permission of Hostel Management.

06.2 》 Transport Facility for Day Scholars.
Pick and drop facility only provided from Various Checkposts of Quetta Cantonment (Cantt) Only Day Scholars details will collect within one week of commencement of classes.

06.3 》 Dress Code / Outfit / Clothing.
To maintain academic dignity and sanctity of the educational institution, faculty and students are supposed to wear decent and sober dress. The purpose of the dress code is to provide basic guidelines for appropriate dress code to be followed in NUST campus rather than imposing strict restrictions / enforcement of dress code. It is also assumed that faculty and students of NUST being highly educated, while realizing the norms / culture of university will dress up in a dignified manner.
Guidelines on dress code for students are as under: -
a. Male Students
(1) Summer
(a) Dress trouser with shirt. Tie optional.
(b) Shalwar Kameez with waist coat.
(c) Closed Shoes / Closed Chappals with straps (Slippers not allowed).
(d) Safari Suit.

(2) Winter
(a) Dress trouser – Shirt with coat or Sweater / Jacket.
(b) Closed or open Collar – Lounge suit / combination.
(c) Shalwar Kameez with waist coat / coat
(d) Closed Shoes / Closed Chappals with straps (Slippers not allowed).

b. Female Students.
Sober and decent clothing (both summer & winter).

05 》 Documentation
Students should bring along following documents: -
a. Original CNIC / Form “B” along with 4 attested photocopies b. 6 (Six) passport size and 4 (Four) “1x1” photographs
c. Original SSC, HSSC (or equivalent) / O/A Level equivalence along with 4x photocopies of each certificate duly attested. (Keep photocopies and scanned copies for your personal record for subsequent use) as your original documents will be retained by Institute. d. O/A level examinations equivalent certificates from IBCC (along with statement of result).
e. Original NUST selection letter / Admission Fee Challan.

f. Forms. The following attached forms should be filled, signed and submitted upon joining: -
(a) Personal Information Performa Annex B
(b) Undertaking (on Rs.100 stamp paper) Annex C
(c) Particulars of wards of defence service personnel Annex D (d) Undertaking by students and parents/guardians Annex E (e) Medical Fitness Certificate Annex F (f) Registration Form – Undergraduate Programs Annex G

The undergraduate program of Civil Engineering & Computer Science commence at NUST Balochistan Campus (NBC), Quetta with effect from 26th September 2022.
Classes will be held for five days a week, from 26th September 2022.
The first semester, i.e., Fall Semester 2022 will be of 18 weeks duration from 26th September 2022 to 10th March 2023.

As part of Flood Relief Campaign, NUST Balochistan Campus in Quetta established a camp today. Flood-affected residents of local villages, including Killi Nasran, Killi Sara Khulla and Killi Shabaq, were given ration packs, containing food items and sanitation products, for their families.

NBC is also playing its role in the restoration of the road network, and electric and gas supply for the locals affected by the floods and plans to provide livelihood through facilitating small businesses for the local population. Under the supervision of Campus Director NBC Brig Dr Kamran Akhtar, NBC team will be continuing relief and rehabilitation efforts in the coming days as well.

Join NUST in the relief efforts for our brothers and sisters affected by the torrential rains and floods across Pakistan.

The Academic Council
The Academic Council shall act as an advisory as well as an implementing body for the decisions of the Executive Committee on all matters relating to the conduct of examinations, revision and updating of course syllabi, quality of education, duration of all courses including conduct of postgraduate classes in specified disciplines.

The Academic Council shall also help the Rector in evaluating proposing and coordinating research and development projects and respective institutes and colleges.

The Academic Council shall meet frequently / as and when required.

Composition: The composition of the Academic Council shall be the same as given in sub section (1) of section 15 of the Act and as amended from time to time.
