The Department of Botany extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Abdul Qadir, a valued faculty member of the Department of Botany, on the successful completion of his PhD from Lanzhou University, China.
His doctoral research, entitled “Effects of Fresh Manure and Compost on Soil Quality, Microbial Metabolism, and Carbon Sequestration Mechanisms in Dryland Farmland of Northwest China” addresses one of the most pressing global challenges—sustainable agriculture and climate change mitigation.
During his PhD studies, Dr. Abdul Qadir contributed to several high-impact international publications in prestigious journals, including Applied Soil Ecology, Journal of Environmental Management, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Environmental Research, Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, and Soil & Tillage Research.
His outstanding scientific achievements reflect dedication, perseverance, and excellence in research, bringing honor to his institution and contributing valuable knowledge to the fields of soil science, microbial ecology, carbon sequestration, and sustainable agriculture.
