The Department of Management Sciences successfully conducted a seminar on “The Startup Ecosystem and Funding Opportunities in Pakistan” on 16 December 2025.

The event was led by Dr. Bilal Kayani & Mr. Muhammad Waseem and organized by MarkActivist Society. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Khurram Tariq Kayani, Founder of Gelecek and CEO of NLC Smart Solutions, for sharing valuable insights and practical knowledge with students. The Department of Management Sciences held its 3rd Thesis Defense Committee (TDC) meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Faid Gul.
The committee included the Head of Department, internal examiners, external examiners, the thesis supervisor, the Manager QEC, and the PG Coordinator/Convener.
Six students appeared before the committee and successfully defended their theses.
Congratulations to all supervisors for their contribution towards academia. 👏 🎓

The Department of Management Sciences organized a Panaflex Ad Competition under the supervision of Dr. Rauza, Dr. Shumaila, and Ms. Saba on 4th Dec, 25 . A total of 22 groups participated and presented their creative panaflex advertisements. Through this engaging activity, students gained valuable hands-on experience and learned the true essence of effective advertising. The position holders were awarded certificates by Dr. Aksar (HOD, Management Sciences) in recognition of their outstanding performance

The Department of Management Sciences organized a workshop on the accounting software QuickBooks for the students of the BBA Afternoon program. The session was conducted on 17th December, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and was facilitated by Dr. Iftikhar Ali Janjua, who served as the trainer for the workshop.

The session provided students with practical exposure to the software’s key features and applications in real-world accounting. Participants actively engaged in the activities and expressed their satisfaction with the learning experience. Overall, the workshop proved to be informative and was well-received by the students.

Under the umbrella of the Society of Intellectual Development (SID), Dr. Shoaib Hassan and Dr. Uzma Bashir successfully organized a seminar on “Financial Market Investment” on 19 November 2025 at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Rawalpindi. The session featured Dr. Shahzad Hussain, Head of the Department of Business Administration at Rawalpindi Women University and a seasoned investor with over ten years of experience in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), as the distinguished resource person.
Dr. Shahzad delivered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on investment strategies, market behavior, and practical considerations for navigating the PSX. Students from the BBA and BSAF programs attended the seminar and engaged actively, acknowledging the relevance and value of the knowledge shared.
The seminar concluded with formal appreciation extended to Dr. Shahzad for his expert contribution and to the organizing team for ensuring the successful ex*****on of an academically enriching event.
