Pakistan’s education system has now become almost completely dysfunctional, especially in regions like Rahim Yar Khan (RYK) and Sadiqabad (SDK). The colleges affiliated with The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) are severely affected.
Under the supervision of Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz shareef, and Head of the Education Department, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the situation has not shown any improvement. Students in these affiliated colleges are suffering due to poor management and serious delays from the university administration.
I personally took admission in November 2022 at MTB College, Sadiqabad, which is affiliated with IUB. After three years in 2025, I have managed to complete only three semesters, and even now, the result of the third semester is still pending. This shows how inefficient and unorganized the current system has become.
Final examinations are not conducted on time, and degrees are delayed for years. In many cases, one semester takes nearly a full year to complete, wasting students’ precious time and causing deep frustration and uncertainty about their future.
The concerned authorities are strongly urged to take immediate action to resolve these issues in affiliated colleges of Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan, and to ensure that students receive their education and degrees on time.
