The Department of Business Administration successfully conducted the evaluation of BBA students' research projects. The projects were assessed by distinguished evaluation committees comprising Dr. Waris Ali, Dr. Shaheera Amin, Dr. Ammara Saleem, Dr. Saira Aziz, and Dr. Muhammad Hussain.

During the evaluation, students demonstrated their analytical and presentation skills by presenting the financial performance analysis through computer-based applications, while the non-financial performance aspects were showcased through informative standees.

The event provided an excellent platform for students to exhibit their research capabilities, critical thinking, and practical understanding of business performance evaluation.

On the directions of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, a visit was conducted to various academic blocks of the University of Sahiwal to monitor the smooth and transparent conduct of Final Term Examinations (Spring 2026).

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor reviewed examination arrangements, interacted with examination staff, and emphasized the importance of fairness, transparency, and adherence to examination rules. He expressed satisfaction over the disciplined environment and efficient management of the examination process.

The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Registrar Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar. The visit reflects the University's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring a fair assessment system for all students.

With the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, Worthy Vice Chancellor, and the guidance of Dr. Waris Ali, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, and Dr. Husnain Kamboh, Associate Professor and Director Academics, the Department of Business Administration, University of Sahiwal, successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “Quantitative Data Analysis Using SmartPLS 4.0”
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Atif Ali Gill, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, and was coordinated by Dr. Azeem Mirza. Through an engaging and hands-on approach, Dr. Atif Ali Gill provided participants with practical insights into the application of SmartPLS 4.0 for quantitative data analysis, demonstrating real-time analytical procedures and techniques.
The session was attended by MS and PhD scholars from the University of Sahiwal and Riphah International University (Sahiwal Campus), along with faculty members eager to enhance their quantitative research capabilities. The workshop comprehensively covered key topics, including Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), measurement and structural model assessment, as well as mediation and moderation analysis.
Participants highly appreciated the informative and interactive nature of the workshop, recognizing it as a valuable opportunity to strengthen their quantitative research skills. They also expressed keen interest in participating in similar academic and professional development initiatives in the future.

The visit offered students firsthand experience of television broadcasting, production processes, and live transmission operations. Students observed various aspects of media production and gained valuable insights into the professional working environment of the television industry. They also had the opportunity to interact with prominent celebrities and actors, making the experience both educational and inspiring.
The students were accompanied by Director Project & Development Dr. Amin Abid, Director Estate Management Dr. Ikram Ahmad, Resident Officer Dr. Hafiz Tariq Masood, and other faculty and staff members. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar attended a prestigious farewell ceremony organized by the Punjab Prison Staff Training College (PPSTC), Sahiwal, to pay tribute to Mian Farooq Nazeer, Inspector General Prisons Punjab, on the occasion of his retirement.
The event brought together distinguished guests from government departments, bureaucracy, business and industrial sectors, educational institutions, civil society organizations, political leadership, and parliamentarians. The ceremony was gracefully organized and highlighted the remarkable contributions of Mian Farooq Nazeer towards prison reforms and the modernization of the prison system in Punjab.
On this occasion, Dr. Javaid Akhtar highly appreciated the dedicated services, visionary leadership, and significant achievements of Mian Farooq Nazeer, and extended his heartfelt best wishes for a healthy, successful, and fulfilling post-retirement life.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Commandant Malik Shoukat Firoz thanked Vice Chancellor Dr. Javaid Akhtar for his participation and presented him with a commemorative shield. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the organizers for the invitation and commended the excellent arrangements, hospitality, and management of the event.

A meeting of the Course Coding Committee was held at the University of Sahiwal under the directions of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar. The committee deliberated on the assignment of uniform course codes for academic subjects across all departments in accordance with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
The initiative aims to ensure standardization, improve academic record management, facilitate inter-university compatibility, and strengthen compliance with national academic frameworks. Committee members reviewed existing coding practices and discussed mechanisms for implementing a unified course coding system throughout the University.

As part of the Civics and Community Engagement course by students of BS Phy-4th at the Department of Physics, University of Sahiwal, an interactive learning activity on "𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀" was successfully conducted under the supervision of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐟 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐝 as course Instructor.

The activity enabled students to explore community structures, social values, development challenges, and real-world solutions through active participation and discussion. This experiential learning approach enhanced students’ critical thinking, creativity, and understanding of societal issues.
