During the lab practical, students of the Department of and performed the (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) experiment as part of their subject . The practical aimed to help students understand the method of measuring ESR and its importance in diagnosing various diseases such as infections and inflammatory conditions. Students actively participated in handling lab equipment, preparing samples, and observing results under proper supervision. This hands-on experience enhanced their practical skills and deepened their understanding of clinical laboratory procedures.

This project, prepared by the students of the

Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, SBBUVAS SAKRAND,

represents a science model of the plant food-making process called photosynthesis 🌱.

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants use sunlight as a source of energy to convert water (absorbed by roots) and carbon dioxide (from the air) into glucose (food) and oxygen.

The model illustrates the important parts of a plant, including roots, stem, and leaves. It shows how roots absorb water from the soil, leaves capture sunlight, and carbon dioxide enters through the leaves.

Inside the leaves, these components work together to produce food for the plant, while oxygen is released into the environment.

This project helps to understand the importance of photosynthesis in plant growth and highlights its essential role in maintaining life by providing oxygen and food in the ecosystem. 🌿

Have prepared a comprehensive and informative project on the Human Heart.

This project has been completed under the subject of Human Physiology and is guided by Dr. Muhammad Awais Soomro.

The project explains the structure, functions, and circulatory system of the human heart in detail.

The students have presented the different parts of the heart, such as atria, ventricles, heart valves, and cardiac muscles, using models and diagrams.

Additionally, the project illustrates the various phases of the heart, including systole and diastole, blood oxygenation, and the mechanism of heartbeat, in a clear and simplified manner so that viewers can understand the physiological and biological significance of the heart.

The aim of this project is not only to help students understand the basic physiology of the human heart but also to provide them with practical experience through research and model-making.

During the lab practical of Biochemical Techniques, students of biochemistry department learned about the use of a centrifuge and the analysis of fresh milk.

The centrifuge is an important laboratory instrument used to separate components of a mixture based on their density by spinning samples at high speed.

In this practical, fresh milk was placed in centrifuge tubes and spun in the centrifuge to observe the separation of different components such as cream and liquid milk.

This experiment helped students understand the principle of centrifugal force and its application in biochemical analysis.

It also provided practical experience in handling laboratory equipment and studying the composition of milk.
