Environmental Science, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Environmental club is established in 2016 and it is the first official club in the SBBU,
All human beings have a responsibility to protect the environment.

The Environmental Club serves to spread environmental awareness and enthusiasm. Anybody may become a member of the club. All human beings have a responsibility to protect the Environment. The club will strive according to the teachings of Islam as laid down in the Quran, Prophet Muhammad’s (SW) sayings and the modern scientific research to save the Environment.

پاکستان میں بہت سارے گلیشیئر ہیں، جو کہ قطبی علاقوں کے علاوہ زمین پر موجود کسی بھی جگہ سے زیادہ ہیں۔ یہ گلیشیئرز ضروری ہیں کیونکہ یہ ملک کی 75 فیصد پانی فراہم کرتے ہیں۔ تاہم، سائنس دان پریشان ہیں کیونکہ ان میں سے بہت سے گلیشیئرز، خاص طور پر ہندوکش پہاڑی سلسلے میں نچلی بلندی پر موجود گلیشیر پگھل رہے ہیں۔
یہ کم برف، زیادہ درجہ حرارت، گرمیوں میں شدید بارش اور بہت سے درختوں کے کٹ جانے جیسی چیزوں کی وجہ سے ہو رہا ہے۔

وادی چترال کہلانے والا ایک علاقہ اس بات کی اچھی مثال ہے کہ اگر موسمیاتی تبدیلی نہ رکی تو دوسری جگہوں پر کیا ہو سکتا ہے۔ اس سے وہاں رہنے والے لوگوں کو کافی تکلیف ہو سکتی ہے۔ مستقبل میں صورتحال مزید خراب ہونے کی توقع ہے، جس سے مقامی کمیونٹیز کی زندگی مشکل ہو جائے گی۔

پاکستان میں ان گلیشیئرز پر انحصار کرنے والے ماحول اور لوگوں کی زندگیوں کے تحفظ کے لیے موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کے خلاف کارروائی کرنا بہت ضروری ہے۔
