Today, we are proud to spotlight Dr. Hafsa Yasir Gondal (MBBS, Class of 2025), who is already setting a remarkable precedent for our alumni community.
Currently serving as a House Officer, Dr. Hafsa has achieved a significant international milestone early in her career by successfully securing her ECFMG license through the USMLE exams. What makes her journey truly exceptional is that she cleared these demanding international benchmarks while still a student at SMC, a testament to her extraordinary discipline and the robust academic environment provided here.
Reflecting on her journey, Dr. Hafsa notes that the supportive ecosystem at SMC was instrumental in her success. From the dedicated guidance of her teachers to the administration’s proactive role in facilitating her path toward global certification, she felt the institution was a true partner in her aspirations. Her memorable meeting with Dr. Imran Idrees after clearing Step 1 remains a defining moment, symbolizing the shared pride between a student’s grit and her college’s support.
