The University of Swabi informs all aspiring candidates that the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for taking admission in MS/MPhil and PhD or equivalent degree programs is now mandatory.

HAT for MS/M.Phil or Equivalent Programs registration is currently open on the Education Testing Council (ETC) portal: www.etc.hec.gov.pk
- Last Date to Apply: Sunday, June 07, 2026
- Test Date: Sunday, July 05, 2026

- For PhD: Registration for the PhD programs will be opened in June 2026

Applicants are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid any inconvenience.

The Department of Law, University of Swabi successfully conducted its four-day Moot Court Competition, which concluded on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The Grand Finale showcased outstanding advocacy, legal reasoning, and courtroom skills by the law students, earning immense appreciation from the distinguished guests and audience.

The event also featured an insightful panel discussion on “Navigational Rights and the International Legal Regime Governing Straits under UNCLOS: A Case Study of the Strait of Hormuz,” focusing on contemporary legal and geopolitical issues relating to international maritime law and global trade routes.

The honourable guests included Prof. Dr. Sami Ur Rehman, Dean of Law Programs, IVY Academic Network, who presided as Chief Judge and Panelist; Assistant Professor Muhammad Aqeel Khan, Senior Law faculty at AWKUM, who served as Judge and Panelist; and Mr. Attaullah Khan, Prominent Political and Social Activist, who participated as Panelist. The Head of Department, Assistant Professor Sultan Sheharyar, acted as host and moderator for the event.

The worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mian Sayyed Khan, and the honourable Dean of Arts & Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasim Ullah Qureshi, appreciated the efforts of the Head of Department, faculty members, organisers, and students for arranging such a remarkable and intellectually enriching activity. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to the participants in recognition of their dedication and performance.

The 28th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) at was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Mian Sayed Khan.
During the meeting, research synopses submitted by students of the Departments of Microbiology and Pharmacy were reviewed, and recommendations were made accordingly. The board members also offered constructive suggestions aimed at strengthening research quality despite limited resources.
The Vice Chancellor urged supervisors and members of the Graduate Studies Committee (GSC) to thoroughly review the synopses and ensure the incorporation of all suggestions before signing and submitting them to the ASRB.
The meeting reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to its motto, “Quest for Excellence,” with continued focus on enhancing research standards and academic output.
