A dignified ceremony was organized at the University of Swat in connection with Marka-e-Haq. The district administration extended full cooperation in the organization of the event. In particular, the Commissioner Malakand Division, Mr. Masood Ahmad; the DIG Malakand Region, Mr. Syed Fida Hassan; the Deputy Commissioner Swat, Mr. Saleem Jan Marwat; and the District Police Officer Swat, Mr. Muhammad Umar ensured complete support and facilitation for the success of the program. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Swat expressed his gratitude to them and stated that the district administration is providing full support to the University of Swat so that it may achieve recognition at the global level in the academic arena and that its graduates are acknowledged and valued internationally.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor, University of Swat. Other participants included the heads of the teaching and administrative departments of the University, faculty members, and a large number of students.
The purpose of the ceremony was to pay tribute to Pakistan Army, the great sons of the nation, who rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the defense of the motherland, and to highlight the historical background of Marka-e-Haq while promoting the spirit of national unity, patriotism, and responsibility.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the professional excellence, courage, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and emphasized that the younger generation must play a key role in the development and stability of the country. He stated that today we especially pay tribute to the great soldiers of the Pakistan Army who, through their professional competence, bravery, and sacrifices, thwarted the nefarious designs of the enemy. The Pakistan Army is not only the guardian of our borders but also a strong guarantor of national security, stability, and sovereignty. He further expressed deep respect for the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whose vision, strategy, and firm resolve have further strengthened our defense capabilities and elevated the confidence of the nation. Under his leadership, the Pakistan Army has set remarkable examples of professionalism, discipline, and patriotism.
Addressing the students, he stated that as educators and administrators, it is our responsibility to equip the younger generation not only with knowledge but also with high moral values, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility. We must prepare such youth who are not only experts in their respective fields but also conscious and responsible citizens. The University of Swat takes pride in the fact that it is playing a vital role not only in imparting education but also in character building. On this occasion, we must pledge to fulfil our academic and national responsibilities with greater sincerity and determination.
The ceremony proved to be an important effort in promoting national unity and strengthening the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation. He stated that Marka-e-Haq teaches us that when a nation unites around its ideology, faith, and purpose, it can face every challenge with determination. This day reminds us of those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to ensure the protection of our beloved homeland.
