SAUT Scholarships Initially two-year Diploma course was started which was later converted to a three year B.Sc. degree program.

Sindh presents a variety of soil and climatic conditions compatible for growing various cereal, fruit and vegetable crops and maintenance of a large livestock population. With the construction of Sukkur Barrage in 1932 in Sindh Province, the need for education and training in agricultural professions was realized and translated in the form of the establishment of King George-V Institute of Agricul

ture at Sakrand, District Nawabshah in 1939. The Institute was shifted to its present site in 1954 and named as Agriculture College Tandojam with specialization in various fields of Agriculture and Animal Sciences. Its status was raised to university under the Sindh Assembly Act on 1st March, 1977. The main objective of the University is to provide qualified manpower in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, and Animal & Veterinary Sciences. The University is well equipped with academic as well as problem oriented research facilities and capable enough to extend latest agricultural technology to the doorstep of farmers eventually leading to increased agricultural production.
