Today marked a truly special occasion from the Data Science (DS) and Computer Engineering (CE) Departments under the Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering (FCSE) at GIK Institute, as we had the honor of celebrating the incredible dedication, hard work, and academic excellence of our esteemed faculty members.

In a ceremony filled with pride and appreciation, we presented certificates of appreciation to those faculty members who have consistently gone above and beyond in their commitment to teaching, research, innovation, and student mentorship. These educators are the foundation upon which our departments thrive, and it was a privilege to recognize their efforts in a meaningful way.

🎖️ A special highlight of the event was awarding medals to our top three performing faculty members ' individuals whose passion, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence have not only elevated the standards within our departments but have also inspired students and colleagues alike. Global Accolades for GIKI Researchers: Four Featured Among Top 2% Scientists List for 2024

Four of GIK’s esteemed researchers have been recognized in the prestigious 2024 list of the world’s top 2% scientists, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier.

Prof. Dr. Zahid Halim, Dean ODL, has earned this honor for the second consecutive year. A distinguished expert in affective computing and artificial intelligence, Dr. Halim continues to make significant contributions to his field.

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Head of the Department of Cyber Security & Software Engineering, has also been acknowledged among the world’s top 2% scientists. His research focuses on networking and telecommunications, underscoring his influential role in advancing these critical areas.

Dr. Muhammad Zahir Iqbal, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, is celebrated for the third consecutive year as one of the top 2% scientists globally. His innovative work in photovoltaics, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and electronic devices has garnered international recognition.

Dr. Muhammad Faisal Javed, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, has also made it to the list of top 2% scientists globally for 2024. He is recognized for his expertise in construction materials.
