It is announced with immense pleasure that Dr.Ahsan Mahmood Khan (15th batch) has been awarded with a highly prestigious Opendoor scholarship (MPH),being the only alumnus in 2 decades who has been granted such a big award.He was also awarded the "Youth leader award 2025" and is Former recipient of "Stipendium Hungaricum award".Dr.Ahsan is the current President of Wah Medical College Alumni Association (WMCAA) and has always contributed for the welfare of WMC.
Wah Medical College congratulates Dr.Ahsan for this commendable milestone and wishes him more success in life.

Announcing with profound sorrow that Wah Medical College mourns the passing of our esteemed Professor and former Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Muhammad Afzal Khan Niazi.

From the very early days of the college, Dr. Niazi played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape and fostering a culture of excellence. His commitment to the advancement of medical education and unwavering dedication to the well-being of his students and colleagues made him one of the most cherished educators in the faculty.

Dr. Niazi's impact extended far beyond the walls of the lecture halls and would last throughout the whole academic year – especially during the annual sports weeks. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Niazi's warm and compassionate approach endeared him to all who had the privilege of working with him.

The loss of Dr. Afzal Khan Niazi leaves an irreplaceable void in the Wah Medical College community. The college extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and especially to his students during this difficult time.

He recently attained success in the FCPS Endocrinology examination, following his prior accomplishment of FCPS Medicine. This achievement marks a momentous occasion for both his family and Us.

Alumni Annual Dinner in Dublin - Ireland 2023

This time two esteemed guests are invited. Naeem Iqbal for Laois County Council is prominent politician of Pakistani origin and an accountant who will give a talk on Payslip & Tax related matters in Ireland. Dr Hafiz Liqa Ur Rehman had campaigned for equal training opportunities as well as Fast Access to Stamp 4 (Irish Green Card) for non-EU doctors in Ireland. He will give a talk on training/career progression in Ireland and pathway to move to the UK from Ireland. These both topics are of great interest among doctors in Ireland.

Both these talks will be of high yeild specially for juniors/new comers who have recently moved to Ireland from Pakistan.
