RelicarIA nominated for the DH Awards 2025!
We are proud to share that RelicarIA, a Digital Humanities tool developed by Danielle Sanches, member of the KNOW.AFRICA project, has been nominated in the category “DH tool or suite of tools” at the DH Awards 2025.
RelicarIA is currently being tested within the scope of KNOW.AFRICA using nineteenth-century Portuguese travel narratives, helping researchers explore historical sources through innovative digital approaches that combine OCR, NER, and network visualisation.
This nomination highlights the growing importance of tools that enable new ways of engaging with historical data, particularly in projects that aim to uncover hidden actors and knowledge networks.
