ARTIS - Instituto de História da Arte

O ARTIS – Instituto de História da Arte da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa (ARTIS-IHA/FLUL) é uma unidade de I&D financiada pela Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), consagrada à investigação e à formação em história da arte e ciências do património. ando-se em três grupos de trabalho: ARS, PATRIMONIUM e Az – Rede de Investigação em Azulejo. Caracteriza-se pelo empenho na formação pós-graduada, pelo trabalho científico em rede, através de parcerias interdisciplinares com instituições e empresas, e por uma aposta no diálogo científico e na divulgação do conhecimento, tanto a nível nacional como internacional. Desde a sua criação, liderou vários projetos de investigação financiados pela FCT, envolvendo unidades de investigação de outras faculdades da ULisboa e outras universidades. Atualmente, edita duas revistas anuais, a ARTIS – Revista de História da Arte e Ciências do Património (em papel), e a ARTis ON (digital), que permitem dar visibilidade à investigação desenvolvida na unidade de I&D, mas também de autores de outras instituições nacionais e estrangeiras.

ARTIS, the Art History Institute of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (ARTIS-IHA/FLUL) is an R&D unit funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and dedicated to research and training in art history and heritage science. It features a team of 27 researchers, as well as several collaborating researchers and post-graduate students, and comprises three work groups: ARS, PATRIMONIUM and Az –Azulejo Research Network. The unit is characterized by its commitment to post-graduate training, its network-based research, enriched by partnerships with different institutions and companies, and its focus on scientific dialogue and the promotion of knowledge, both nationally and internationally. Ever since its creation, the unit has overseen several research projects funded by the FCT, involving research units from other faculties of the University of Lisbon and other universities. It currently publishes two annual journals, ARTIS – Journal of Art History and Heritage Science (on paper) and ARTis ON (online), which help promote the research developed within the unit, but also that of authors from other institutions, in Portugal and abroad.
