๐ Distinguished Paper Award at USENIX Security โ26!
Congratulations to ECE PhD student Mr. Shi Quan, first author of โLPG: Raise Your Location Privacy Game in Direct-to-Cell LEO Satellite Networks,โ on receiving a Distinguished Paper Award at the 35th USENIX Security Symposium.
Supervised by Professor Biplab Sikdar and co-authored with research collaborators, the work examines location privacy challenges in Direct-to-Cell LEO satellite networks, an emerging technology that could bring mobile connectivity to remote areas, oceans and disaster zones. ๐ฐ๏ธ๐ฑ
The team developed LPG, a framework designed to strengthen user location privacy while maintaining network performance. The approach was also validated on a real in-orbit LEO satellite platform, demonstrating its potential under practical satellite resource constraints.
This recognition highlights the significance of the research in advancing security and privacy for next-generation communication networks.
Congratulations to Shi Quan, Prof Biplab Sikdar and all co-authors on this significant achievement! ๐
