Can students teach their mentors too? 🤝

This Teacher’s Day, we spoke to Associate Professor Wen Bihan from the NTU School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering - EEE, recipient of this year’s Graduate Mentoring Award, who shared that mentorship is a two-way exchange. From learning from his students to asking the right questions and embracing failed experiments as part of the research journey, he shares what guides his approach to mentoring postgraduate researchers.

Celebrate with us the mentors who have inspired and guided your research journey and continue to shape the next generation of researchers. Stay tuned as we spotlight more inspiring members of our Graduate College community.

You are never alone in your research journey. 🤝

Our recent graduates Maggie, Gao Yuan from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), NTU, Singapore and Xiao Tao from the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (NTU SPMS) share their advice for current postgraduate students, as they reflect on their PhD journey:

🤔 Start with curiosity, not pressure.
✍️ Find questions that genuinely matter to you.
👀 Look for people who can help you explore them from different angles.

Keep exploring, asking questions, and making the most of your research journey.
